(July 7, 2014) – Spirit Communications, a premier provider of voice, data and Internet services in the Carolinas, has named Richard Coggins as Regional Sales Manager for the Greenville, S.C. and Asheville, N.C. markets. Coggins is responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction to the company’s regional sales team to advance its enterprise solutions to business firms across Upstate S.C. and Western N.C. He will report to Dwayne Drake, Director of Sales. “Richard has the leadership qualities and industry know-how to lead our sales team, drive new growth, and help our customers achieve results,” said Drake. “He is well respected in the industry and is already proving to be a valuable addition to our Spirit family as well as our customer communities.” Coggins has 14 years of sales experience in the IT industry including business communications, data center operations, and managed/cloud services. Most recently he served as a Senior Account Executive at Immedion and prior to that he spent 12 years as a District Dealer Manager at Windstream Communications (formerly NuVox), where he was instrumental in generating new sales, services, and partnerships across the Carolina’s. Coggins earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Financial Management from Clemson University.
