Spem whales can live for seventy years

Sperm whales live in oceans all over the world except Arctic and Antarctic waters.

Spermacetti is an oil that they produce in the spermacetti organs located in their head

They can swim, they dive for over two hours and they can lie down on the ocean surface.

They are very big , with an extremely large head containing the largest brain of any animal

They reproduce very slowly, a calf is born every four to six years

They make click sounds similar to dolphins

Humans hunted sperm whales till 19th century

It´s prohibited now but they are killed accidentally
