Our goal is...to create a a 30-60 minute speech in 48 hours or less...

step one: your key messagesWhat’s your one big idea?

Now list 12 ideas that sit under that one idea

we will probably use only 3-6 of them.

make sure they are each discrete ideas

step two: what problems are you fixing with this speech

list out the 3-6 problems your audience has that your speech will address.

unpack in your mind what is causing these problems

step three: buy an stock account

through the internet go to www.istockphoto.com and set up a ‘pay as you go’ account for 50 credits

step 4: prepare an answer to these three questions

why are you the one to deliver this speech

why is what you are talking about important to this audience

why is any of this important now

step 5: think about some stories

is there something that has happened in history that illustrates one of your points?

is there something thats happened personally that illustrates one of your points?
