speculative projects: earthen
DESCRIPTION
Inspired by Lalibela in Ethiopia and the citadel of Sana’a in Yemen, this project is an exploration of the notion of negative space, dislocation and assigned versus intrinsic value. The mutability of materials under the growing omnipotence of technology fuels an ongoing series of architectural investigations that look to past answers for future questions.
