OUR STORY

Spectra Hospitality Services, established in August 2006, is a full service hospitality consulting firm, composed of associates with extensive operational and marketing experience in the hospitality industry.

Their combined expertise includes concept development, market research, economic feasibility reports, strategic business planning, project development, technical assistance, marketing and sales, pre-opening and on-going operations in hotels, resorts, convention centers and mixed-use facilities.

Simon Shepherdson

Principal Consultant, ILC Hong Kong

Over 20 years of experience working in Asian markets. Experienced developer and operator of leisure facilities. Formerly Head of Projects and Club Development – CCA International, responsible for all club projects from inception to completion, throughout Asia.(Golf Clubs, Country Clubs, Health Clubs Business Clubs).

Rakesh Bhalla

Group Financial Controller

Visionary and motivational leader with 37 years of experience in overall Finance, with Strategic Planning, Financial Accounting, Commercial Operations, Budgeting and Statutory Compliance

Specialized and technical expertise for all type of infrastructure facilities for food handling business for hotels, resorts, clubs, restaurants and banquet halls.

Chef Zoheb Khan

Corporate Chef

Self - motivated professional with outstanding skills as both chef and manager, with over 10 years in hospitality industry with top notch chefs , in India and abroad. Specialized in Italian, and Lebanese cuisines.

Rajeev graduated with a degree in Hotel Management from IHM Pusa, New Delhi and went on further to obtain an MBA in Hospitality & Retail Management from NIM Indore.A veteran of the hospitality and entertainment industry, he has worked with diverse organizations like the Hyatt, Carlson, Imperial, Inox and RCI in India and abroad.

Rekha holds a degree in Hotel Management, and has an MBA from Texas Christian University.Rekha has over 7 years of sales and marketing experience in the travel industry. Her work has involved working with hotels and distribution companies, managing sales & marketing campaigns, conducting market research and launching new products, giving her the opportunity to work in different cities in India and the United States.

• Spectra Hospitality Services took over an ailing property in Goa, formerly the Swissotel Goa. At the owner’s requestSpectra managed the property under the name North 16 Hotel, carrying out all activities from defining the vision, laying outa roadmap, hiring and placing appropriate resources and executing skillfully on those plan to drive profitability.

• At the appropriate time Spectra Hospitality Services handed over management to Hard Rock International, thus alsofacilitating the international brand’s entrance to the Indian market, and facilitated a sign up for Hard Rock Hotel Bangalore

• Spectra also set up the operations of the first Legends Club in India, an international family vacation club at Hard RockHotel, Goa.

Spectra set up the operations management of the first Legends Club in India, an international family vacation club at The Hard Rock Hotel Goa, also having an affiliation with RCI.

Spectra served as development consultants and assisted in the operator search for a 233 key hotel in Hyderabad, formerly the Double Tree by Hilton• A PPP project strategically located at the

junction of ORR , Gachibowli and HITEC city

• The Arena by TransStadia, an INR 550 crore project is hailed as India’s first convertible stadium. It uses a globally patented technology, which converts an outdoor stadium into an indoor arena within 6 minutes at a touch of a button.

• The Arena, also contains a hotel, lifestyle club – EKA, and serviced apartments.

• Spectra has also been appointed as the operator of the asset, lending technical knowhow in the design and running of food and beverage outlets, leisure facilities in the club and retail outlets.

• This involved detailed plans for all aspects of the operation of the asset– staffing, vendor selection, concept design, point of sales and property management system –selection and implementation, launch plans and marketing spend.

• As the operator Spectra is responsible for designing the revenue target for each financial year, in consultation with TransStadia. Further Spectra is responsible for designing and implementing detailed tactics to ensure that the target is met. This includes comprehensive tactics to increase share of wallet from members, drive consumption by non-members and drive conference revenues and room sales from key source markets.

IHG HOTEL, DELHI NCR REGION

• Brought in by the owner of a 193 room 5 star business hotel currently operated by InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), Spectra conducted:

• Quality and Operations Audit to improve the bottomline, and streamline resource allocation

• Technical Recommendations to improve topline growth in rooms and F&B outlets

TRIDENT, HYDERABAD

• 323 room Trident Hotel in the heart of Hyderabad’s IT valley –Gachibowli.

• The project was to set up two five star hotels, Trident and Oberoi at Madhapur Hitec City in Hyderabad on a 5-acre plot.

• It was a Private Public Participation (PPP) project under the Build Operate and Transfer (BOT) basis with land leased by Youth Tourism & Cultural Department of Andhra Pradesh government allocated through a bidding process.

• Golden Jubilee, the developer invited Spectra to conduct a technical audit, and ensure profitability. Spectra served as the owner’s representative engaging in deep conversations with General Manager at Trident, analyzing the performance data against industry benchmarks to drive revenue.

DUSIT INTERNATIONAL

• Spectra is currently partnering with Thai hotel operator Dusit International, and conducting market feasibility studies for two locations –

• Jaipur, and

• Pushkar

• Spectra is Dusit International’s representative in India, responsible for ensuring the maintenance of quality and technical standards in the development of the assets.

• Once operational, Spectra will also manage the assets.

International Leisure Consultants, Hong Kong (ILC) was set up by Simon Shepherdson as a full-service leisure company, mainly providing leisure consultancy services and includes management and marketing services for clubs, resorts and mixed-use developments.

Spectra Hospitality Services with International Leisure Consultants, Hong Kong (ILC) have formed a joint venture –ILC Services India Pvt. Ltd. The company now provides consultancy services and includes management and marketing services to Clubs, Leisure projects & Mixed Used Developments.

ILC Services India covers services in sports clubs, golf clubs, country clubs, fitness and health clubs (in both stand-alone and premium hotels), business clubs, health spas, premium residential clubs, resorts and leisure complexes, retreats, conference and exhibition centers, serviced offices and tourism assignments
