Hello!Welcome to summer programming from Community Education! One of St. Cloud Area School District 742’s core values states, “Lifelong learning is essential for individuals to shape and thrive in our global society.” It is the power of fulfilling community needs through collective participation and use that creates experiences upon which our community and school district thrive. At Community Education, we believe in lifelong learning opportunities that enhance quality of life for our evolving and diverse community.

We invite all children, adults, and families to take advantage of the educational opportunities Community Education has to offer. You’ll find a variety of classes, activities, and programs designed to keep you and your family engaged in learning, in building your social networks, wellness and self-care. Through cultivation and lifelong learning we will create the conditions necessary for growing together.

1. Participants must be 16 years of age or older.

2. Most Project Challenge activities have waiting lists. Contact the Community Education Main Office immediately if a participant is unable to attend as planned in order to allow someone on the waiting list to attend.

3. Pre-registration is required for all activities. Exceptions can be made for dances and Saturday morning bowling but pre-registration is recommended.

4. No substitutions of one participant for another. Legally, only those participants who are registered can participate.

5. Check in with Project Challenge staff when participants are dropped off. The instructor is in the class approximately 15 minutes prior to class. Be prompt in dropping participants off and picking them up. Vans and buses leave promptly at the time listed in class description.

6. Project Challenge staff are not personal care attendants. They are not certified to administer medications, lift participants or assist with toileting needs. Consumers needing this form of care must be accompanied by a primary caregiver.

7. All Project Challenge activities are sponsored by St. Cloud Area School District 742. Drinking of alcoholic beverages is prohibited.

8. Participants requiring assistance for physical or behavioral issues must be accompanied and supervised by a caregiver.

9. If a behavioral incident occurs, a primary caregiver may be required to accompany the participant to all future classes and trips.

10. Assistants must register at the same time as participants when there is an assistant fee. This ensures the correct number of tickets are purchased and proper transportation is arranged.
