2015Special Short-term Program (SSP)
Special Short-term program (SSP) is an intensive Korean langauge and culture programdeveloped for studemts from Sogang’s partner universities in Japan. During the three weeksof their stay in Korea, students can improve Korean language skills as well as experiencediverse aspects of Korea through Korean Studies lectures and cultural trips to different partsof Korea.

Program Dates
MARCH 2 – MARCH 20, 2015 (3 weeks)
Curriculum
Korean language instruction is provided by Sogang University’s Korean LanguageEducation Center, renowned for its brand of innovative task-based languageinstruction that trains learners to communicate in Korean efficiently. The programemploys a learner-centered curriculum that requires students to combine thinkingand performing in Korean to develop communicative competence. Students will take aplacement test before the start of the program and will be placed according to theirlevels.60 contact hours : 4 hours * 5 days* 3 weeks
Korean Language Course
Korean Studies LectureSix courses on Korean politics, economy, culture, literature, law, history, etc. will be offered by professors in Sogang University. Courses are taught in Japanese. Lecture time: 75 min, 2 times per week
Cultural Field TripStudents will have a chance to explore Korea by visiting cultural sites in Seoul and other cities in Korea.
Accommodation
Students will stay at Shinchon Casaville Residence during the 3-weeks of stay inKorea. Casaville is located 10-min walk away from Sogang campus . Two people willshare a room (twin beds).Amenities:WiFi, refrigerator, TV, microwave oven, air-conditioning, halogen range, kitchenutensils

Students are responsible for their own meals on other days. Usually meals atschool cafeterias range from KRW2,000 to KRW 6,000. Restaurants off-campuscharge from KRW 3,000 and above.
