Wednesday 15th November 2017 – Wednesday 28th February 2018 Open daily with free entry‘Enlightenment’ is a spectacular new glass sculpture, created especially for Chichester Cathedral, by award-winning artist Amy Cushing. suspended above the font in the Cathedral’s Baptistry, this beautiful sculpture is made up of approximately five hundred pieces of handmade glass within a delicate three metre floating column. each iridescent element includes fine metallic copper flakes which echo the copper within the font below. Amy is one of the country’s leading glass designers, known for her intuitive sense of colour and unparalleled understanding of kiln-formed glass.

The Cathedral is open from 7.15am until 6.30pm (Monday to Saturday) and from 7.15am until 5.00pm (Sunday). There is no charge for entry.

Guides give free guided tours at 11.15am and 2.30pm, Monday to Saturday. Tours last approximately 45 minutes. No need to book. Special trails available for children.

Groups (min 6) can book from a range of tours. Tours include: The Art of the Cathedral, Behind the Scenes, Civil War Tours and many more.
