present day. Learn about Madrid’s Moorish roots in the ancient buildings
of the Barrio de la Moreria, the old Moorish quarter. Then take in the

Barcelona FD TourThis full-day visit offers you a complete tour of the artistic revolution the city
of Barcelona has experienced in architecture and paintings in the last 100
years with visionary artists such as Gaudí and Picasso.
The tour starts with a drive along the boulevard Paseo de Gracia to admire
the most beautiful modernist houses (the Catalan architectural movement
called “Modernism” is the local version of Art Nouveau spread all over
Europe at the end of the 19th Century) of the city: Casa Batlló, Casa

Atmeller, Casa Milá known as “La Pedrera” and many other places like the
Joan Tapies Foundation for example or less known mansions.
The tour will continue with the visit of the magic Parc Güell, also designed
by Antonio Gaudí and the surrealistic unfinished Sagrada Familia
Church (visit from inside or outside only) considered as the Masterpiece of
the architect.
After some time for a free lunch your tour continues through the gothic
quarter and its treasuries of the gothic architecture in the city of Barcelona.
After a short transfer (by bus or by foot) to the old city and passing by the
“Drassanes Reials” that accommodates now the Maritime Museum (this is
the largest and most complete medieval dockyards in the world), visitors
will undertake a walking tour of the medieval city to enjoy the very narrow
streets and the beautiful old facades and balconies. The highlight of the
visit will be the Cathedral and its Cloister as well as the little museum
located inside the Cathedral. After a break when people will be able to
have a coffee or a refreshment, the walking tour will continue towards the
so called “Ribera” quarter: the Ribera quarter became the new city centre
in the 13th and 14th Centuries when the Catalan were expanding their
trade and sea links throughout the Mediterranean. The Church of “Santa
Maria del Mar”, one of the favorite churches among the people of Barcelona is the symbol of this
maritime empire. Another jewel of this
quarter is without any doubt the street Montcada, a range of Medieval
palaces which house today some of the most important museums of the
city such as the Picasso Museum, the textile Museum and the PreColombian
Art Museum.

Flamenco Dinner Show in MadridMadrid has been listening to the best flamenco since the early 19th century and has seen the best
artists triumph here.
Flamenco can be seen or heard in many bars and taverns in Madrid. You might go for an evening
meal to one of these places, and listen to the music afterwards.
Little is known about flamenco’s precise origins, but it’s agreed that it comes from southern Spain. So
why see flamenco in Madrid? Well, like any big capital city, Madrid is where flamenco performers go to
make their name. The city is home to excellent flamenco tablaos, and the best flamenco dancers in the
world.
