Introducing Spacehive Transform where you live
Introducing Spacehive
• Online funding platform for civic projects that allows anyone to put forward ideas for neighbourhood/civic improvement projects, and anyone to fund them.
• Think of it as an incubator for great ideas - from community gardens to high street makeovers, free town centre wi-fi , play facilities - helping the most popular gain publicity and support
• Once we or our expert partners verify that projects are ready to start crowdfunding, supporters can contribute to the cost via the website
• Spacehive’s model allows communities to raise money for popular projects, and use it to leverage additional funding from corporates, councils, local business or philanthropists.
• We make it simple and fun for people to support projects they like - allowing communities to get things done at a time when public money is in short supply.

We’re here partly because traditional funding
for civic projects is in decline, so we need to
find a smarter funding model.
But mostly because we think it should just be
easier to make things happen.
And it turns out that when lots of people vote with their wallets for the kind of change they want to see happen, councils and companies
rally behind them.
What is civic crowdfunding?
