WorkstationTypicalSelectionGuidelines

Overview:

Workstylesingeneralarebecomingmorecollaborative andopen,allowingfor

morecommonmeetingandstorageareasandreducedindividualfootprint.

TheworkstationtypicalsfortheStateofVermonthavebeendesignedto

accommodatedifferenttypesofworkstylesandstorageneeds. Someof

thetypicalchoicesallowforoptimalcollaboration,whileothersprovidethe

separationneededformoreindividualizedconcentration.

SelectionStandards:

1. The6typicalstationlayoutsareshownintheWorkstationsOptions

pages. Thesedesignshavebeendevelopedtobestmeettheneeds

forStateofVermontEmployeesinconsiderationofuserfeedback.

Thetypicalstationscannotbemodifiedbyindividualagenciesor

endusers,exceptbyspecialrequesttomeetspecificergonomic

needs,withpermissionfromBGS.

2.Workstation

typical

selection

must

be

per

station

cluster

each

cluster

mustconsistofthesametypical. Aclusterisagroupofconnected

stationsthatsharecommonpanelsandspinewall. Thesearetypically

groupsof6to8stations,butthesizeofaclustervariesbasedon

spaceavailability,structuralcolumns,programmingneeds,etc.

3. Eachindividualmaychoosefromanassortmentofpaper

managementandorganizationaltools. Thequantityoftoolsallowed

andalistoftoolswillbeprovidedatthetimeofselection.

4.

TackBoards

will

be

ordered

in

equal

quantities

from

alist

of

preselectedfinishes. Afterinstallationiscomplete,theremaybe

someabilityforemployeestoswapcolorswithoneanother.

5. Typicalselectionsandorganizational toolselectionscannotbe

changedafterthepredefineddeadline.
