Coyote’s estomago rumbled as he prowled the desert for something to comer.

At the boca of an arroyo, he stopped. His ojos amarrillos flashed as he spotted a chica in a caperuza roja. She was holding a basket and picking desert flores.

Coyote licked his lips. He crept towards the chica in the caperuza roja.

Picking flores, the chica in the caperuza roja sang softly.

With his ojos narrowed into slits, Coyote crept closer. And closer. The chica in the caperuza roja picked some more flores.

As Coyote drew near, he prepared to pounce. But suddenly, his estomago rumbled! It churned and gugled and grumbled!

The chica whirled around. “Senor Coyote!” said the chica, “Que quieres?”

“Ay,” said Coyote, as his estomago rumbled, “Yo quiero say, ah, buenos dias!”

“Buenos dias to you,” said the chica as she took a step back, “Me llamo Isabel.”

“My, that is a bonita caperuza roja you are wearing Isabel,” said Coyote.

His ojos amarillos flashed. He inched closer to her.
