In the board’s Zone C, which roughly covers the city’s southwest, 809 condos changed hands in the fourth quarter of 2013. The busiest community for sales in Cal- gary was in the inner city in Zone C, where Connaught saw 117 homes change hands. Zone C overall saw a 19 per cent decline from 963 sales during the third quarter while the average price increased from $343,920 between July 1 and the end of Sep- tember to $360,978 during the last three months of the year — making it the highest sale average in Calgary. The com- munity with the highest average price in Calgary was The Slopes in Zone C, where there was one sale for $2.8 million. The next busi- est quadrant for sales was also on Calgary’s west end. The board’s Zone A, which roughly con- sists of northwest Calgary, had 410 sales in the fourth quarter of last year at an average price of $318,686. Its busiest community was Panorama Hills with 39 transactions at an average price of $264,809. Neither southeast nor northeast Calgary topped the 200-sale mark in the last three months of 2013. The board’s Zone D, which roughly cov- ers the city’s southeast, finished with 192 deals averaging $284,673. Its most active community was McKen- zie Towne with 57 transactions, where the average price was $275,171. The board’s Zone B, which roughly con- sists of northeast Calgary, had 137 sales in the last quarter of 2013 at an average price of $203,220.
