    mpatriots,

I hope everyone is doing well this month and enjoying this weather as spring is in full affect. We have

usy month with the monthly meeting and 57 th A! convention in "hort #ump with many other ceremonie

noring our ancestors and advancing the cause. $han% you to &s. $heresa for a wonderful presentation this

onth, it is always good to learn about the many aspects of the time period to include every perspective of life started the convention wee%end by attending the '(C meeting on )riday afternoon* in attendance were +

rry, ohn -enry, $ommy, and myself. othing monumental came out of the meeting ecept the fact that th

nutes of the last '(C meeting were not posted and they glossed over the reason they held the /a%wood

r%day without posting it or including others. "aturday0s convention was held with a 1uorum of camps and

re able to vote on amendments and hold elections.

$he elections did not go well as all of our candidates were defeated in what appeared to be a definite

bu%e on any one that has a different opinion then those on the '(C or had any affiliation to the )laggers or

her organi2ation they oppose. $he voting on amendments were fast in comparison to the elections as they o

reed with on amendment that they proposed and 1uic%ly defeated the ones our camp put forward. $he only

od thing that did come out was the passing of an amendment that rescinded the '(C0s resolution that

ndemned any other organi2ation but them* this most surprised and confused the '(C. We were presented w

outstanding camp award for 345, and that is a testament of our camps outstanding dedication and

mmitment by our members6 -ats off to ya0ll.

$he dinner was nice and the company was better as $ommy and ohn -enry both had their wives withm. $he night0s entertainment was very interesting as they had a young man that portrayed Confederate t

y +enjamin )ran%lin "tringfellow. -e did a first person rendition and made the evening enjoyable.

I loo% forward to seeing everyone at the net monthly meeting on &ay the 8rd at 'olce !ida restaurant

m with meeting to start at 7pm.
