Imlay and Edrom Roads• Sealed roads built by NSW Forestry

Commission in 1960s and 1970s.• Imlay Road (57kms) links Monaro Highway

with Princes Highway• Edrom Road (17kms) links Princes Highway

with Twofold Bay – SEFE and export wharf• Imlay Road is the only unbroken 25m B-double

approved route traversing the GDR between the Victorian border and the Illawarra.

Imlay and Edrom (cont’d)

• Because Forests NSW is not a Road Management Authority (RTA and Councils are), we do not attract Gov’t funding

• Currently funded on proportional usage basis by timber industry users (SEFE, VicForests, FNSW). Other users are not contributing.

• Consultants report has identified need to increase funding in short term to address urgent needs.
