S. B. Patil College of Engineering, Indapur (SBPCOE) is established in the year 2009 under the dynamic leadership of Hon.

Harshwardhan Patil, Minister of Maharashtra with the objective of creating state of the art learning facilities in selected fields of

technology & engineering at global as well as national level. The advent of globalization has created opportunities for sharing this

advancement with the best of institutions abroad. This institution wishes to tap all available sources of knowledge and create a

unique facility for producing the best and most updated technological minds. SBPCOE aims at providing an enjoyable learning

experience to its students throughout their entire tenure in the college. In addition to their academics, students can participate in a

wide variety of extracurricular activities in the field of arts & sports, and will receive institutional support to excel in those, at both

Direct Second Year of Engineering ;

uThe students who have passed Diploma Course of Engineering or Technology with branch from the Maharashtra State Board of

Technical Education with minimum 50%marks are qualified for the admission to Direct Second Year Engineering course.

uPassed the HSC (STD XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary Education or equivalent examination with

Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry and secured minimum 45% marks. (40% marks for Backward Class category candidates

from Maharashtra only).

uRanking obtained in MHT-CET conducted by the competent authority of Government of Maharashtra.

uAdmission process for Government quota seats will be carried out as per the schedule declared by the Director Technical

Institute Level Seats :

uThe Detailed admission process for the institute level candidates will be declared from the Director Technical Education,

Maharashtra State. All the relevant details for institute /minority candidates will be displayed on college notice board & on

college web site (www.spvp.edu.in) and for admissions on such seats, the advertisement will be given in leading news paper

from time to time.

All above seats will be filed by institute strictly on merit basis at institute`s level

Graduate in any discipline from a statutory university with an aggregate score of 50% for open and 45% for reserved category

respectively .Candidates must have Mathematics as a subject in 10+2 or any one year of Graduation.

uAdmission process for the seats remaining vacant after CAP round & institute`s level round will be carried out separately.

Schedule will be displayed on the notice board as well as on the web site of the institute www.spvp.edu.in. For admission on such

seats the advertisement will be given in leading news paper from time to time. All such seats will be filled by the institute ,strictly

on merit basis at institute`s level. As per the directives of Maharashtra Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) announced for

MHT_CET.

Tuition Fees :

As approved by Government of Maharashtra and other fees as prescribed by University of Pune

Code of Conduct :

uA student must put in minimum attendance as prescribed by the University of Pune for grant of terms.

uThe students shall abide by the general rules given by the Director of Technical Education and as laid down by the college

authorities from time to time.

uA student must wear college uniform in the college.

uA Student must appear for test examinations conducted by the college. This is part of continuous assessment.

uIn all the matters, the Principal's decision will be final and binding on all the students.

Rules & Regulations about Ragging :

Ragging is strictly prohibited as per law. College takes all measures to curb the incidences of ragging through continuous vigilance

and counseling.Any student found convicted of an offense under the ordinance will be punished as per Maharashtra Prohibition Act of Ragging

1999 and as per the directives by Honorable supreme court from time to time.

Each laboratory is having sophisticated equipments such as CROs, Function generators, frequency counters and special purpose equipments like digital storage oscilloscope/ spectrum analyzer/ logic analyzer etc, to enhance designing skills of students Department provides simulation software's such as MAT LAB, MULTISIM and ULTIBOARD with fully networked computer laboratories.

The Department`s library is maintained for data sheets and data-books, application notes etc. All major data sheets from leading IC and semiconductor manufacturers are available in library. Students are offered proper guidance for their projects and the laboratory facility. Industry sponsored projects are made available to the students. IEEE student's chapter was started in the year 2009. The department also has a very active association EESA to encourage the overall personality development of the students through various activities.

Last few years Maharashtra state is facing acute shortage of electrical power which has an

adverse effect on our industrial growth. Almost the same situation exists all over India. The

government has planned to enhance the generation of electrical power by 10,000 MW per

annum. Other reforms are also being introduced. Keeping in mind the huge employment

potential, we have introduced electrical branch at SBPCOE in 2010. The curriculum set for

this course is such that the student acquires knowledge in electrical as well as electronic

subjects. At the end of this year (2010-2011) our first batch of students will be admitted in

second year in Electrical inhering. In this lab we have different types of DC motors, DC

generators, single phase and three phase transformers, single phase and three phase

motors, alternators etc. Different types of Analog and Digital instruments are also available

for practicals.

Computer Engineering

The goal of our nation to become a super power can be realized only if innovation and

leadership become the new mantras of the Computer / IT industry. These industries can

sustain their future development only through the development of new knowledge based

products and technologies. Keeping this view in mind S B Patil College of Engineering has

introduced this course from the academic year 2009- 2010. We have well qualified &

Civil engineering is a professional engineering discipline that deals with the design,

construction, and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including

works like bridges, roads, canals, dams, and buildings. Civil engineering is the oldest

engineering discipline after military engineering, and it was defined to distinguish non-

military engineering from military engineering. It is traditionally broken into several sub-

disciplines including environmental engineering, geotechnical engineering, structural

engineering, transportation engineering, municipal or urban engineering, water resources

engineering, materials engineering, coastal engineering, surveying, and construction
