Minutes

Monday, May 13, 2019 Call to Order: 7:05pm Quorum: Yes Pledge of Allegiance: Megan Patterson Approve Minutes: passed Treasures Report: Not present. Commander Bob and Secretary Megan have a copy if you’d like to review it. Legislative: John Taylor reported that RBOC (Recreational Boater of California) states that if convicted for a DUI while in your boat, your boat will be impounded. A DUI on your boat goes on your car record. Be smart! Port Cpatain: Jim Fenelon reported all is well and alive! Safety: Reservouires are realeasing more water. Be aware of floating objects. Recliners and hot waters heaters have been seen in the Delta waters! Vessel Safety Check: Rick Huffman sent his report with Shelly. We are at 56 to date. There will be plenty of VE Examiners at the island over Memorial Weekend for you to take care of yours! Boating Activities: We have been invited to Willow Berm June 7-9th. Flier sent out earlier. Membership Involvement: Memorial weekend plans are complete. A schedule will be going out to all those in attendance. There will be a hula hoop contest, boat decorating contest, Bingo and a Bloody Mary Saint or Sinner contest! Be prepared for fun! Membership and Roster: Kathy McCoy reported there are 138-9 active and 4 inactive members. Island Report: posted below Education: Gary Rogers reported that 8 completed the ABC class. 4 will be going to Partner in Command on June 15th. A few Jump Start classes have been done. He has 5 people at his marina interested in a Boating Safety class he plans to do in one day. Old Business: The San Rafael Yacht Club will be coming out to the island for their annual visit on Sept. 5 & 6 with about 6 boats. New Business: District Meeting Bob and Gary attened. Little to report. Bob wants to have an Executive meeting at the island over Memorial Weekend. Adjourned: 7:43pm Secretary, Megan Patterson, Lt.

Thank you Bonnie and Gary Rogers 5/2/19 Haul out 2- 21’ 2” dia. Galvanized pipe for new 5 MPH signs, cut aquatic weeds in front of dock. Thank you Randy Schantin 5/3, 4/19 Cut aquatic weeds front and back of dock, trim trail from deck to the beach and to the fire pit and the loop, clean and paint BBQ and smoker, install 2 – 5 MPH signs at entrance to island, paint pile caps, paint dock light stands, power wash deck . Thank you Bonnie and Gary Rogers, Karl Jensen, Alan Lange, Ellie and Roger Reimer, Joanne and Phil Horner, Wayne Gannaway and grandson Zack, Doug Sherman, Ron Sherman, CDR. Bob Miles, Jeanne Darrah and Susan, Gerritt, Gavinn Bod. 5/8, 9/19 Power wash patio tables, counters and benches, wash off dock.
