SOS Children’s Village Multan In the Month of November 2018 Total Strength of Children: 179 Total Strength of Sponsors: 179 Iqbal Day and Re-Union Day: Children’s Day is a symbol of worldwide fraternity and understanding, and also be an opportunity to promote the welfare of children. “Iqbal Day” and “Re-union Day” were celebrated with gaiety and favor at SOS Children’s Village Multan, on November 9, 2018. It was a fun-filled day for children where they made the day special, as they had a lot of fun-filled activities lined for them. All the cultural items were organized and performed by the children. So the day had the theme ‘Care of children’. The day began with informative and entertaining programs. Ex-children were the guests of honor, Mrs. Shahnaz Zaman warmly welcomed the Ex-children of SOS, special programs were held at different levels which had informative speeches. Children enjoyed all the items and there were happy smiles on their faces, the day was celebrated with great enthusiasm. Director of SOS Village gave the message of peace and harmony to the children and urged them to follow the ideas of Allama Muhammad Iqbal. The enthusiasm of “Iqbal Day” and “Re-union Day” festivals can also be witnessed in the practice of exchanging wishes.

IqbalDayandRe-UnionDay:Children’s Day is a symbol of worldwide fraternity and understanding, and also be an opportunity to promote the welfare of children. “Iqbal Day” and “Re-union Day” were celebrated with gaiety and favor at SOS Children’s Village Multan, on November 9, 2018. AnnualMilaadSharif: As every year this time Annual Milad was celebrated on November 24th, 2018. It was arranged in SOS Village Auditorium with the help of the youth girls. During this occasion children decorated the auditorium with colorful ribbons, lightings and other special arrangements were made to express their love for the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) Mehfal-e-Naat and Milaad to pay tributes to Holy Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) and highlight the life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) . The Children recited naats, and hamds. Milaad was celebrated with very high spirit.

DoctorfromCMH(CombinedMilitaryHospital)MultanVisit:On November 25th, 2018 a group of Doctors from CMH Multan came to SOS Children’s Village Multan to spend a day with the children of SOS. The purpose of the visit was to seek awareness about SOS and finding meaningful ways of contribution. Moreover, they also shared gifts with children of SOS.

AwarenessSessionbyBahauddinZakariyaUniversityOn November 29th, 2018, Bahauddin Zakariya University students organized a social awareness tour in SOS Children’s Village Multan where children from SOS Children’s Village Multan warmly welcomed them. The students were all very enthusiastic and in high spirits while children were eager to take part in different activities arranged by visiting students. We are grateful to BZU students for their support in making this event possible. The winner and the runner up of different activities were called on the stage and gifts were distributed.

On 6th November, 2018 Dr. Ahmad Ijaz Masood Head of Oncology Department, Nishtar Hospital Multan visited.

The guest visited all SOS Children’s Villages facilities and appreciated the cause and its working. All the teaching staff, mothers of SOS village and students of grade IX, X, XI, and XII participated in the awareness session gathered in the auditorium.

Then, he started his session with introduction, he told that in world 6 million people died per year due to cancer because of ignorance and carelessness.

The session highlighted that there are only 30 cancer centers in Pakistan and there is only 1 cancer hospital in Multan, which covers 50 million populations. How cancer can be avoided through lifestyle choices was presented through Multimedia and a very informative session on self-examination was conducted for all the females.

GOOD WILL CRICKET MATCH:

Sports and games are the necessary part of our life. They teach us the great qualities of discipline, self control and sportsmanship. It makes us physically fit as well as mentally alert in all the fields. Our SOS Hermann Gmeiner Higher Secondary School Multan always conducts different physical and mental activities for their students.

On 14th November 2018 it conducted a cricket match for SOS Youth Home Boys with Bloomfield Hall’s team. SOS HG School took the winning trophy from Bloomfield Hall..

AN AWARENESS SESSION ON PLANTATION:

On 16th November, 2018 an awareness raising seminar on “Plantation” was conducted in SOS Hermann Gmeiner Higher Secondary School Multan from the Assistant

Professors students of Muhammad Nawaz Shareef University of Agriculture Multan. They gathered all the students of Grade IX to XII in auditorium.

It was an interesting and knowledge full seminar. Students learned a lot of knowledge about plantation and the benefits it can bring to us directly and our planet. They showed many plants to students and gave many plants to students to grow then in their houses and school.

Engineer Muhammad Ismail (Lhr), DM TEVTA Multan Imran Ashraf & trade specialist inspected all DAE (Electronics, Electrical, and Computer Information Technology) and vocational courses. The Purpose of this Inspection is to add new courses and the renewal all old courses. TEVTA report is pending still.

NAVTTC COURSES FINAL ASSESSMENT:

By the grace of ALLAH Almighty SOS Multan Institute of Technology successfully completed National Vocationally and Technical Training commission’s courses of Plumber, Welder, Electrician, HVACR, Dress Making and Beautician. Assessment of NAVTTC trades was held on 24thNovember, 2018 in SOS Multan Institute of Technology Multan. Plumber, Welder, Electrician, HVACR, Dress Making & Beautician classes of 25 students all appeared in exam with full preparation.
