    SOP OF GIVING EYE DROPS MEDICINE

    a. Definition

    Drug delivery via eye is giving drugs to the eye in the form of liquid or ointment.

    b. Destination

    - To treat a disorder or disease of the eye

    - To dilate the pupil on the internal structure of the eye examination

    c. Preparation of Tool

    - Eye drops / ointment

    - Cotton Wet NaCl 0.9%

    - Cotton Eye opener

    - Sterile Handscon

    d.Prosedur

    1. Wash your hands.

    2. Use sterile Handscon.

    3. Describe the purpose and procedures to be performed on the client.

    4. Arrange of position with the client lying or supine position, and then with the neck is

    extension.

    5. Clean clients eyelids and around the eye area of clients from the dirty to the area

    Clean using a damp cotton.

    6. Open clients eyelids using cotton eye opener, and then ask the client to glance or

    look towards the ceiling.

    7. Take the eye drops, then read the instructions of medicine use, expired dates

    medicines and medicine color.

    8. Instill eye drops into the grooves under the eyes or on the conjunctiva

    lid.

    9. Ask the client to close his eyes slowly.

    10. If there is a drug that melts the eyes around the eyes, then wipe with a cottonwet.

    SOP of EYE DRESSING

    a. Definition

    Eye Dressing is a sterile procedure of which has a goal to treat wounds

    eye area.

    b. Destination

    - Clean the area around the eye eye atapun

    - Prevent the occurrence of infections or complications

    c. Preparation of tool

    1. Sterile cotton cigar in a bowl

    2. Drugs: eye drops or eye ointment

    3. Sterile tweezers

    4. Crooked / Kidney Cup

    5. Sterile bandage

    6. Plaster / hypapix

    7. Small sterile scissors

    8. Handscon sterile

    d. Prosuder

    1. Wash hands

    2. Use sterile Handscon.

    3. Describe the purpose and procedures to be performed on the client.

    4. Arrange of clients position with the client lying or supine position.

    5. Open plaster or hypapix slowly and carefully with alcohol cotton

    and former clean plaster or hypapix the glue on the client's skin.

    6. Rub the cotton outward.

    7. Open of eyes bandage. (Remember, hold plaster parts do not touch the area

    bandages)

    13. Give hypapix or plaster on bandage. Plaster in the area near the nose first, to

    avoid shifting bandages.

    14. Clean tools - tools that were taken.

    15. Wash your hands.

    SOP of Vision

    a. Definition

    Visual acuity is the sharpness or clarity of vision.

    b. Destination

    Vision examination is an examination to see and measure visual acuity.

    c. Preparation tool

    1. Snellen card

    2. Book Notes

    3. Chairs for clients

    d. Procedure

    1. Describe the purpose and procedures to be performed on the client.

    2. Adjust the position of the client in a sitting position parallel to the Snellen card with a

    distance of 6 m.

    3.Examination performed by a client begins with eye problems. With I close my eyes

    troubled clients who do not use the palm of the hand.

    4. Ask the client to mention that there are letters in the sequence of cards Snellrn

    top to bottom in the order left - right.

    5. If the client is unable to read to the limit of normal, log on to the boundary line

    9. If the client is one of many nurses identify the number of fingers in a distance of 1

    meter. Then do the next way, ie with a wave. Then the client vision

    will be declared 1/300. Because it can only see the wave of the hand.

    10. If the client does not see the wave of the hand, then do the next way is by
