Schedule 8:30 a.m. – 9 a.m. Registration Check in at SSU Gym Bring your FAST PASS with you for a quick and easy check in!

9 a.m. – 9:35 a.m. Welcome President Judy Sakaki, Provost Lisa Vollendorf and our AS President give you a glimpse of what’s in store for you as a Seawolf!

9:45 a.m. – 3 p.m. Presentations and Workshops (See pages 5-7 for presentation descriptions)

2. To get the most out of your day, have each familymember/guest attend different presentations.

3. Presentations are first-come, first-served so beprepared for presentations to reach capacityearly.

4. Visit the Campus Fair to learn about the manyresources available to future Seawolves and to meetSSU faculty, staff and students.

5. A tour of the library, campus tours, housing tours,and Recreation Center & tours of academic areaswill be available for specific times. Planaccordingly so you don’t miss out!

6. Take advantage of departments that are Open forBusiness to accept your offer of admission, payyour enrollment, submit financial aid forms, getyour housing questions answered, and meet withacademic advisors in the Advising Center.

2:00 p.m. -3:00 p.m. Seawolf Sampler ConcertAdmitted students and their families are invited to learn about the music department at this annual Music Department Sampler Concert, a one-hour show of solo, jazz, and chamber ensemble pieces performed by current students. Located in Schroeder Hall at the Green Music Center.

SESSION 1: 9:45-10:30 a.m.

Student Involvement-What To Do at SSU Did you know that getting involved on campus, outside of the classroom is a key factor in a student’s success? Learn more about our over 120 Clubs/Organizations, Fraternity and Sorority Life, and Sports Clubs, as well as community services events, trips, concerts, lectures and so much more that we have to offer our students! At least once a day, we hear someone say, There’s ALWAYS Something To Do At SSU! (Student Presentation)

Culture of Care Sonoma State is a unique campus within the CSU system. We are known for our close knit community of students, staff and faculty who truly care for each other. Come learn about the Culture of Care that we have established here and how we will be caring for your student. (Parent/Supporter Presentation)

Disability Services for Students This presentation is designed to inform students and parents about the differences between high school and college disability accommodation and support services, as well as provide the steps necessary for students to become active participants in this process at Sonoma State University. This presentation is intended for first time freshmen as well as transfer students.

The Transfer Experience Welcome future SSU Transfer Students! Join Transfer Student Programs in this interactive workshop and hear from current transfer students about their experience at SSU. There will be much insight about why they chose to come to SSU, how they navigated through their transition and what helped them overcome any obstacles they encountered. This session lasts for two time blocks.

School of Science & Technology Overview Come learn more about the STEM and Health-related majors and programming in the School of Science & Technology

Center for Academic Access & Student Enrichment The Center for Academic Access & Student Enrichment (CAASE) provides SSU's underrepresented and underserved students with resources to persist and graduate. We will show CAASE our six departments during this workshop so students can learn about the services and support provided through CAASE.

Study Abroad Workshop Make studying away a part of your Sonoma State experience! All students can study away, stay on track for graduation, and your financial aid goes with you! Find out how!

Economics Overview Learn about the Department of Economics and where our graduates are being hired. You will have the opportunity to get your questions answered directly by our ECON faculty!

Our Rec Center and Library are both state of the art facilities, our academic spaces are designed for student success and SSU has been ranked as one of the most beautiful campuses in the nation. Housing & Residential Community Tours 10AM-1PM Starting at Salazar Plaza visit the Housing Tour Tent where you will be directed to open houses within the Residential Communities showcasing the various suites and apartments available to students.

Campus Highlight Tours 11AM-2:30PM Take a 30 minute mini tour where you will visit some of the highlights of our campus. Visit the Campus Tours tent in Salazar Plaza where tours will begin every 30 minutes.

Student Recreation Center Tour 11AM-2:30PM A model facility for sustainability, our state of the art Rec Center houses a rock climbing wall, indoor soccer court, indoor track, dance studios and much more! Check in at the Rec Center front desk for a tour!

Schulz Information & Technology Center (Interactive Library Tour) 1PM-1:45PM Join us for an interactive tour and to learn how the University Library supports SSU students throughout their entire college experience.

SESSION 3: 11:45 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

School of Business The School of Business and Economics offers coursework and degree programs that prepare students for careers of positive professional and community impact. Students are exposed to alternative viewpoints concerning the analysis of organizational, social, and economic problems, including both quantitative and qualitative approaches. Our degree programs focus on the roles and responsibilities of decision makers within a complex and ever-changing environment, and emphasize the consideration of ethical and global issues.

Health & Wellness at SSU Come learn more about your financial aid award letter and the kinds of available aid. We will discuss the financial aid process, explain how aid is disbursed, and how to handle unmet costs.

Computer Science Meet with the Computer Science faculty to learn about what makes the Computer Science major different than other CSU campuses.

Nursing Overview Learn how to navigate the pre-nursing path to our impacted nursing program.

School of Education The School of Education offers exemplary programs based on sound educational practice, extensive research knowledge, and commitment to the needs of diverse populations. In addition to our Early Childhood undergraduate major, we offer programs to prepare you for elementary, secondary, and special education teaching. The EOP Experience The Educational Opportunity Program provides access, academic support, and transitional services improving the retention of first generation, historically low income students. Freshmen & Transfer Deadlines Fall Semester

2019 Accept Admission Offer Accept your offer of admission in the MySSU portal to secure your place for the entering class.

1-May

Register for Orientation Orientation is required for all freshmen and transfer students. December 1st. to May 1st.

Campus Housing To apply for campus housing, purchase the deposit package with Campus Housing via your MySSU portal.

December 1st-May 1st

Register for Early Start Program Freshmen may be required to register for an Early Start English/Math course(s).

6 -May

Fall 19 Transcript Deadline If requested on your admission letter and/or MySSU portal please submit a 7th semester high school transcript or transcript with final grades for Fall 2019.

Immunization Records All incoming students are required to submit immunization documentation to medproctor.com.
