Al Rostamani Tower A winning design competition entry of W.S Atkins for the design of an iconic office building design for Al Rostamani Group. The plan is shaped of a stylized bird as the company logo with the contrasting element of triangular curved curtain wall glass forming the wings and the curved aluminum clad forming the tail and the head and the tail. I was involved in the design development of this project and the visual presetations. I was involved in the production and supervision of the architectural construction documents and coordination with the different building disciplines insuring the proper working coordintaions between them.I also did all the visual presen-tations of this project using Autocad and 3d Studio max.

Taj Palace Hotel A winning design entry of W. S Atkins and Partners Ltd. for the Taj Hotel Group in Deira Dubai. The design was adopted from a bridge design principle where a big span of the facade was carved open to give place for a tensile structured function hall and an outdoor pool area. A conical shaped clear glass curtain wall was also featured on the facade where a scenic lift traverse different levels of the hotel. My involvemnt in this project is in the design development studying the architectural design of the facade and all the visual presentations using 3d Studio Max. I have produced working drawings on this project using Autocad and also coordinated the achitectural construction draw-ings with the different building discilpines to secure exact working relations between all building elements.

21st Century Tower A commissioned design of an iconic tower along the Sheikh Zayed road for the Al Rosta-mani Group. This building resembles a feather shaped facade which form a cut on the front facade of the building. A drum shaped glass curtain wall was cut by the feather shaped elment accentuated by a carved circular shaped top with the company’s logo in it and ended with a metal spindle. My involvement on this project was from design development to preparation of working drawings using Autocad and coodination of the construction documents of the different building disciplines. I also did the visual presentations of this projects from sketches to digital visualization. The image on the left shows the digital rendering of the building using 3d Studio Max and photoshop for compositing. The rest of the images were the existing completed building on site.

Al Safa Development

An urban rezoning and revitalization project of the Municipality of Dubai transforming once an institutional area into a revitalized mixed use residential and commercial development. The project is set around a “falaj”- a water channel where mixed residential and commercial bulidings are planned to promote outdoor living where outdoor cafes and restaurants are placed. My involvement in this project are urban design and visual presentations. I also have liased with the department heads of the municipality for the securing of necesary approvals for the final design solutions of this development.

Al Gadeir Ettair

A mixed use deveolpment at the end of the Ras Al Khor (Dubai Creek) comprising of office towers, and residential clusters laid around a man made lake and commercial malls and public facilities in between them. My involvement in this project are urban design and visual presenta-tions. All images shown are done using Lihtwave 3d and Photoshop and Illustrator for compos-iting and board layouts.

Sharjah Mega Mall

A commissioned project of W.S Atkins for the ruler of the Emirate of Sharjah located at the heart of the city’s business district of Abu Shagara. This mall has two basement parking levels able to accommodate 1,310 cars along the utilities rooms. The mall also have ground and to upper levels of shopping and a themed entertain-ment level together with the food court, a cinema and a bowling center. My involement in this project is in the su-pervision and coordination of the construction documents among the different building design disciplines. and the visual presentaions of this project using Autocad for modelling and 3d Studio Max for texturing and rendering. The image on the upper left shows the front facade of the bulding while the other images on the right are the existing completed building on site.

Bayview Towers A competition entry for the design of the Bayview Towers along the Crescent Island in Dubai. The proposal was composed of two towers set apart but connected by a suspended foot bridge encased with clear glass panels. One tower was intended for the residential units while the other was for the office use. The lower levels were intended for commercial use, service facilities and parking areas. My involvement in this project was in the design development and visual presentations.The images shown are done using Lightwave 3d, Photoshop and Ilustrator for layouts.

Al Mussalla Towers A design competion won by W.S Atkins for Union Properties PJSC in Dubai. This is located on the busy banks street of Khalid Bin Waleed in Bur Dubai. It is composed of two separate towers, one on the left is for the residential units and the other for office. The residential tower features a cascading terrace and loft units in the upper floors. The lower levels were intended for commercial space and the floors above lies the parking area for all the occupants and visitors of the buldings. My involvement in this is in the design development, developing the plans, and facade from sketches to detailed construction draw-ings using Autocad and visual presentations. I also participated in the coordination of the different build-ing disciplines.

Astrolab A mixed use development design proposal for an entertainment developer in Dubai. This development is comprised of a water themed park inside a hotel develop-ment. It provides multiple water rides and enclosed by the hotel units around its perimeter. The other half of the development was also designed around a man made lake where serviced apartment towers are arranged in a circular fashion. The central clubhouse and a pavillion was centrally located with the man made lake.The whole develop-ment depicts a moorish theme as per the clients preference. My involvement in this project was urban design and all the visual presentations from sketches to final drawings. Lightwave 3d was used for modelling and rendering while Photoshop and Painter was used for color adjustments and effects. 10

Hatta Development A rural development initiative of the Municipality of Dubai to a remote community of Dubai bordering with the Sultanate of Oman. The place was given incentive to pro-mote commerce and livelihood. The character of the buildings adopted in this proposal depicts the local architecture giving sensitive preference to the local taste. My involvement in this proposal includes urban design and visual presentations. All images shown here are digital renderings of the proposal using Modo 401 and Photo-shop for color adjustments..

Eco Walk

An urban initiative proposed by the municipality of Dubai to ease the burden of pedestrian walking around the city especially at transit centers. The shaded walkway used the mist cool-ing system to control the temperature outdoor during the hot summer season. It employs the use of photovoltaic cells to supply its own energy requirements both for lighting and cooling systems. My involvements are the design of the shade and its working systems and the visual presentations. Lightwave 3d was used in modelling and rendering and Photoshop for compositing and layouts.
