Glej, zvezdice božje migljajo lepo, Odprto široko je sveto nebo.

Duhovi nebeški se z raja vrste,Prepevajo slavo, na zemljo hite.

Obljuba predavna postala je res,Zveličar je rojen ljudem iz nebes. Pri ubogih pastircih na slami leži, si revščino izvoli, ponižnost uči.

O srečne dušice, ki njega dobe, z nebeško tolažbo jim polni srce;

Le k njemu hitimo, saj rad nas ima,Zaupno odkrijmo mu rane srca.

...is a common thing to many nations. In Slovenia, we love to sing Christmas songs. Many people sing religious songs on Christmas Eve, when families gather and go to churches to pray at midnight mass. People do this all over the country. It is the same in the country and in the cities. Before going to the midnight mass, children usually set up a Christmas tree with the Christmas crib and the whole family sings Christmas songs.
