was founded in 1985. CMYC is committed to helping families, caregivers, and early childhood professionals rediscover the pleasure and educational value of informal mu-sical experiences. Rather than emphasizing tra-ditional music performances, CMYCencourages family participation in sponta-neous musical activity occurring within the con-text of daily life. CMYC recognizes that allchildren are musical and that every child needsa stimulating, supportive music environment toachieve basic competence in the wonderfulhuman capacity for music-making.
