supplying water to the troops forward military bases, afghanistan

utilizing two atlas copco rd20 iii drilling units in highly variable conditions, layne was able to drill two 1500 foot wells that provided all necessary support for a fully functioning water system to forward military bases in afghanistan. layne recorded zero safety incidents during the completion and operation of this project.

to control the de-watered areas for the deep hole drilling program, layne developed an efficient proprietary mud mixing tank, and worked with a specialized supplier to develop an efficient wedge that was simple in design but required skill to execute. layne’s experienced team overcame all challenges and exceeded the client’s expectations.

test pitsoklahoma, usa

a taylor 4000 rig was used to install seven large diameter, deep test pits for an industrial facility expansion in Oklahoma. the success of this project depended on the collaborative effort between multiple divisions that worked together toward a common purpose.

oceanfront condominium and garage florida, usa

layne designed and installed the first ever two story basement using a foundation system of slurry walls and jet grouting technology in miami. the project was for a 16-story luxury oceanfront tower in the highly sought after key biscayne village. the system has been described as “a dream solution to a serious zoning requirement.”

no-dig cured in place pipe installation kentucky, usa

layne installed a cured-in-place pipe (ciPP) liner under a private golf course utilizing a no-dig solution. the inliner process allowed for the course to remain open for play during the rehabilitation of buried pipelines, and there were no disruptions to regular business or the golfers on the course.

layne constructed a new 20mgd water treatment plant that utilized state of the art high rate plate settlers and on-site sodium hypochlorite generation for disinfection. this fast-track high profile project consisted of a new surface water treatment facility, a raw water intake at Pool 3 on the kentucky river and large diameter raw water pipelines
