Osmoflo is using its rental fleet, one of the largest fleets of emergency water treatment equipment, to meet emergency water requirements around the globe. Comprising sea and brackish water desalination plants, the plants are strategically located at a number of locations to service international markets and with rapid deployment to meet the demands of fast track projects.

locations serving our customers as permanent or back-up water treatment assets.

Desal Now is suited to a number of short and long term applications:

Any emergency water need such as breakdowns, increased demand, planned and unplanned maintenance, changes in water quality, disasters, etc.

Capacity increases during high production periods

Events where brackish water needs upgrading to potable water

Back-up during critical periods, plant upgrades and drought conditions

Improved water quality; adding to an existing system for polishing to a higher quality, eg. demineralised water

Environmental needs; dewatering of water storages/dams to meet regulatory requirements

To ensure the highest water quality and reliability, similar technology to that of Osmoflo turnkey and water recycling/water reuse projects is utilized for the rental fleet. There is a range of

sizes and options and when required, rental solutions include PlantConnect, Osmoflo’s remote monitoring platform where plants are linked back to the company’s 24/7 control centers.

“We are aware of a number of locations in India, where access to safe, clean water due to environmental and/or infrastructure underdevelopment reasons is becoming limited. Through our global fleet of water treatment plants, we have the equipment available to provide immediate water treatment assistance. Osmoflo is able to offer these to potential clients as fast track solutions, to meet their emergency water requirements. We can also provide turnkey solutions for energy, oil and gas, petrochemical and general industry purposes” - Marin Slunjski, Regional Manager, Sales - Asia & Southern Australia, Osmoflo.

Desalination and water recycling/reuse has proven to be effective and successful in creating a new and reliable water supply. This creates long-term sustainable solutions that lower the demand for natural resources, improves water quality, reduces operating costs for business and

industry, can eliminate charges associated with discharge and helps our clients implement water saving measures in their communities, business and operations.

South AfricaIn response to severe potable water shortage in drought stricken areas of South Africa, Osmoflo plants are currently supporting potable water augmentation efforts in Cape Town. Recently a rental desalination plant was installed at the Victoria & Alfred (V&A) Waterfront area in Cape Town, with the project having a minimum rental term of 24 months.

V&A Waterfront is located in the heart of Cape Town and is an area that attracts more than 23 million visitors each year. Situated in South Africa’s oldest working harbor, the area has been developed for mixed-use, with both residential and commercial real estate. The water treatment project was instigated by the requirement to mitigate the shortage of potable water being experienced due to one of the region’s worst droughts on record.

For this project Osmoflo provided a fully containerized 92 m3/h production capacity MMF/SWRO rental plant. In January 2018, the plant comprising 7 x 40 foot containers was shipped from Osmoflo’s storage facility in Dubai and, with

a 30 day transit time, it travelled approximately 10,000 km to Cape Town. Once at the site, the plant was fully installed in 5 weeks, produced its first water in April, and was fully commissioned and tested by May 2018. In addition to the rental equipment, Osmoflo is also providing operations and maintenance support for this plant for the contracted term. Saudi ArabiaIn April 2018, Osmoflo was awarded a 585 m3/h desal project for a client in Saudi Arabia with operations in the oil and gas, petrochemical, and power and water sectors. This plant will produce desalinated water for irrigation use and was provided on a rental basis. By mid-May, Osmoflo had delivered the plant to site and is currently in the process of installing it at the site, to be followed by commissioning and plant start-up. Osmoflo will be closely involved with the plant’s operation providing two highly experienced supervisors to the site for the contract duration. The plant operation will be further supported by 24/7 remote monitoring via our own PlantConnect platform and 24/7 manned control centers. PhilippinesOsmoflo supplied an 835 m3/h Brackish Water Desalination plant to a client in the Philippines who required a fast track solution to combat an

increasing seasonal water salinity issue with their potable water source.

Utilizing assets held in stock in the UAE, Osmoflo was able to fast-track this project as required to meet the very tight project deadline. The two BWRO skids were prepared within days from the order for client’s inspection, before being delivered to Dubai port for a 3 week sail time to Manila. As part of the project Osmoflo was involved with supervision and facilitation of the plant installation in the Phillipines.

MalaysiaWorking closely with our local partner Osmoflo recently delivered a rental project for a refinery in Eastern Malaysia. The client’s requirement was for a temporary plant to treat municipal water and reliably produce high quality demineralized water for their operations. This was an emergency need impacting on the operation of the refinery, and hence it was critical to fully establish the plant and produce the water within 12 weeks from the placement of order. Due to the criticality of water to the refinery operations the rental plant was also required to include sufficient redundancy.

A plant comprising 3 x 25 m3/h BWRO units and a battery of 6 MB filters, configured for an off-site regeneration, was delivered to site and installed within the required time period. The quick response time was possible based on the rental units stored in the country at our local partner’s premises. The facility also included the respective balance of plant including pumps and instruments to confirm the exact demin water quality.

For this project Osmoflo assisted our local partner by developing the process solution as required to meet the client’s requirements and provided the BWRO units. Our local partner provided the MBs and balance of plant, and undertook onsite
