If yes, state which is best: if no, state which aren’t Yes, all three sources that I looked over were related to the topic. I felt that the article, “Beyond Section 504: Satisfaction and Empowerment of Students with Disabilities in Higher Education,” was the best because it didn’t only talk about kids in younger schools who get discriminated but students in college and university. I liked that she had sources that talked about both. Each source is clearly owned (identify writer/editor/sponsor)? If yes, which is most clearly owned; if no state which aren’t Yes they all have a writer and a good deal of information of where it came from. They’re all equally owned. Your name: Cecilia Carbone

Partner’s name: Megan Brianne White

Partners Subject: Discrimination against kids that need special education

The person has 3 sources of the 8 required

Each source is clearly related or relevant to the topic stated above? If yes, state which is best: if no, state which aren’t

Yes, all three sources that I looked over were related to the topic.

If yes, which is most clearly owned; if no state which aren’t

Yes they all have a writer and a good deal of information of where it came from. They’re all equally owned. I’d say thisibelieve.org article has the least amount of information because there’s no last name to the person who wrote the essay.

Each source’s owner/sponsor has clear credentials? If yes, state the best example of this; if no, state which don’t

Yes all these owners have clear credentials. The best example would be the article, “Beyond Section 504: Satisfaction and Empowerment of Students with Disabilities in Higher Education,” because the article was on a reliable website and had multiple qualified authors writing about the topic

Each source is fairly recent? If yes, which is most recent; if no, state which is oldest

One source was very recent, the article, “Special Education in the U.S. Has a Long Way to Go- Here’s What Schools Can Do About it,” was written in January 2015. The article “Beyond Section 504: Satisfaction and Empowerment of Students with Disabilities in Higher Education,” is a little out of date, it was written in 1993.

Each source is viable as academically suitable content? If yes, which is strongest; if no, state which aren’t and why

Yes, the strongest one is the article “Beyond Section 504: Satisfaction and Empowerment of Students with Disabilities in Higher Education,” because it really goes in-depth about there not being enough accommodations for special education students and then it went about how they were fixed and why it was so important to fix this issue.

Which source has the highest, overall quality? Why?

Page 2: Solomon's Snap Judements

The article, “Beyond Section 504: Satisfaction and Empowerment of Students with Disabilities in Higher Education,” because it was written by multiple authors and used other sources within it. It talked about the law and made the issue seem like an actual issue that more people need to be aware of.

Which source is the pro viewpoint? What makes this source special/ standout?

The essay from thisibelieve.org because the woman talks about her own experience and how she worked to make people more aware and it actually changed some teachers views

Which source is the con viewpoint? What makes this source special/ standout?

None of the sources I looked over had a con viewpoint

Overall, you consider these sources to be of Poor, Average, Good, Excellent, or Superior Quality? Why?

I felt they were excellent sources. They all were reliable and had good information on the topic. The only issue is they weren’t all to date.

I think, solely on these sources, he/she would earn a grade of a 95, because

They were all very good sources and really went well with the topic. They were reliable. They only issue was that one article being a little out of date

Does your partner agree or disagree with this evaluation? Elaborate with the response.

Yes my partner agreed. She thought that her sources would give her a good enough understanding to actually write a research paper if we had to. She felt very informed with these articles.
