For the choice of Spring Mounts the following are needed:
1 Static weight of the machine and number of footings. 2 Shape of the supporting base and relative distribution of the load on each footing 3 Frequency in r.p.m. (minimum vibratory rate) will show the frequency to isolate.* 4 Placing of the machine: if... near the sea… subject to the wind... in seismic area… on building covers and…
* Frequency = a Hz / 1 Hz = 60 rpm. In choising the antivibrating it’s important the security of the suspended machine : high deflection will give a perfect insulation of the low frequencies, but in the same time The machine will be very sensitive against exterior forces that maybe will cause a swinging that can damage the hydro-electrical connections. For a correct installation refer to our relative instruction guide or contact our technical department on : 0039 02 92 44 31 209.

READING THE NOMOGRAPH:
From the intersection of the horizontal line indicating the frequency and the oblique line indicating insulation percentage ( I %) one obtains the point in the band corresponding to the grade of insulation: the abscissa of this point indicates in mm the deflection.
Example of Mount choice: Suppose a refrigerating unit has to be insulated. The unit has a frequency of 540 r.p.m. (9 Hz), 6 footings and on each of them rest 1628 Kg. In order to obtain a 85% insulation a deflection of about 27 mm is required. The load divided by the deflection determines the stiffness of the Mount (elastic constant) “K”= Kg/mm
K = 27 mm (deflection)
1628 Kg (real load) = 60,3 Kg/mm *
* The right antivibrating mount shall be chosen among the ones (reported in the following pages) having the ‘K’ value that best approximates the outcoming 60,3. The installation is correct when all the antivibrating mounts have more or less the same deflection; if the obtained deflection does not achieve the plain setting of the machine, it will be necessary the use of jacks to adjust the level. - spring in harmonic steel UNI EN 10270-1 SH with surface protected by cataphoretic treatment, - 2 nylon disks lock the spring to the structure and prevent the metal contact, - container structure, base & upper plates, made with Fe420 steel sandblasted, protected by cataphoretic treatment and epoxy powder coated: . base, plate with asolate holes for the anchorage to the floor and welded special profile guides to consent upper plate sliding, . upper plate, in folded plate 8 mm thick with M16 hole, - curve disk in zinc steel, - screw and nut M16 to control the level of the suspended machine, - 2 elastomer guide profiles, inside the steel guide, to prevent the metal contact and assure insulation continuity even with transversal thrusts, - neoprene pad placed under the base plate with deformable reliefs surface permits to the loaded antivibration mount to stand for friction, - 2 lateral pins held assembled base and upper plate. CAUTION remove the pins before loading the anti-vibration. On request: inox steel AISI 304 execution. - Epoxy powder coated springs as our RAL schedule. - Anti-sonic dumper pad, STRIPES 23 mm thick, with physical-mechanical characteristics that remain unchanged and is highly resistant to atmospheric agents, nitrogen, organic greases, salty fog, detergents, UV rays, low and high temperatures from –50°C to +120°C.

CONSTRUCTIVE CHARACTERISTICS
- 2 springs in harmonic steel UNI EN 10270-1 SH with surface protected by cataphoretic treatment, - 4 nylon disks lock the spring to the structure and prevent the metal contact, - container structure, base & upper plates, made with Fe420 steel sandblasted, protected by cataphoretic treatment and epoxy powder coated: . base, plate with slots for the anchorage to the floor and welded special profile guides to consent upper plate sliding, . upper plate, in folded plate 10 mm thick with M20 hole, - intermediate plate to distribute the load on the springs, - screw and nut M20 to control the level of the suspended machine, - 2 elastomer guide profiles, inside the steel guide, to prevent the metal contact and assure insulation continuity even with transversal thrusts, - neoprene pad placed under the base plate with deformable reliefs surface permits to the loaded antivibration mount to stand for friction, - 2 lateral pins held assembled base and upper plate. CAUTION remove the pins before loading the anti-vibration. On request: inox steel AISI 304 execution. - Epoxy powder coated springs as our RAL schedule. - Anti-sonic dumper pad, STRIPES 23 mm thick, with physical-mechanical characteristics that remain unchanged and is highly resistant to atmospheric agents, nitrogen, organic greases, salty fog, detergents, UV rays, low and high temperatures from –50°C to +120°C.
