About SOGA

SOG Australia was formed to assist private, corporate, government, and multi-

national entities with the critical need for quality security consulting, investigation,

large-scale threat management and protective services.

Our clients range from the individual, to the large, multi-national corporations; with

affiliations to Law Enforcement and Government Agencies. SOG Australia is a full

SOG Australia is led by Wayne Carney (Member of ACFE, AIPD, AIPIO, IALEFI,

NSCFAA) who has over 28 years combined experience with the Police and Defence

Services. His foundation was based on the Royal Australian Navy, followed by a

policing role in the Northern Territory Police Force. After that, he has been an active

Protection Operative and Consultant on Close Personal Protection operations both

here and abroad. Currently, Wayne is a National Trainer on Protective Services

Operations and has also recently completed training with US Law Enforcement

agencies on Protective Services Operations.

Within these positions Wayne has gained extensive training and experience in

reactive and proactive applications of law enforcement. He has had experience in

Risk Management and Initial Response Policing, to include serious criminal incidents

and critical life threatening situations. Besides that, he has also demonstrated

competence in gathering, compiling and presenting evidence for various judicial

systems, and has operated within several task force operations in both covert and overt applications.

As a qualified educator for both the investigation and law enforcement fields, he has

experience in developing and delivering Aviation Security, Law Enforcement and Risk

Management training programs. Wayne has had both operational and management

roles in conducting complex Criminal and Fraud investigations, Background auditing

and formation of Intelligence reports for criminal and civil related activity of various

jurisdictions as a solid grounding in research skills was necessary for course

preparation and delivery

In addition, our professional Investigators and Protection Specialist/Consultants
