M/s. HCL Technologies Ltd proposes to set up SEZ unit in the area measuring 96,048 sq ft situated at Ground , First and Second Floor, Block 1, No. 129, Bommasandra Jigini Link Road, Jigini Industrial Area, Attibele Taluk, Bangalore, Karnataka vide their agreement dated 29.03.2009.

The Application furnished by M/s. HCL Technologies Ltd., Bangalore, is in terms of the provisions of Section 15 of SEZ Act 2005 read with the proforma ‘F’ prescribed under Rule 17 of SEZ Rules 2006. The same has been verified and found to be in order.

In terms of Rule (18) of SEZ Rules, 2006 the following requirements are to be met with by the Unit, to grant the approval for setting up their activities in the Special Economic zone:-

• Positive Net Foreign Exchange Earnings.

• Availability of space and other infrastructure facilities to be confirmed by the Developer of the respective SEZ.

• To satisfy the environmental and pollution control norms, as per Karnataka State Pollution Control Act both in respect of air and water

• Proof of residence namely passport or ration card or driving license or vote identity card of the Directors Company.

The application is in conformity with the above requirements stipulated under Rule 18 (2) of SEZ Rule 2006.

Infosys Technologies Limited., was approved as SEZ unit vide Letter of Approval (LOA) number F.No. 10/1/2008/IFS:Infosys SEZ Mysore Unit 1 dated 30.01.2008 for Software development and Consultancy IT/ITES activity. The unit is operating in the Infosys Technologies Limited SEZ which is located Hebbal Industrial Area, Mysore, Karnataka.
