1 Introduction
Welcome to Snöboll, a couch multiplayer in which two to four players challenge each other and
climate change, to become the greatest snowball. You steal snow from your opponents to
become the largest before the world reached a temperature where you can no longer survive.
1.1 Rules
As mentioned above the goal with the game is to be the largest among the players when the
time is up i.e. the global warming “melts” the world. To grow you will have to either steal snow
from your opponents or stay in “grow zones”.
To steal the snow from an opponent you either have to jump on top of their snowball or roll
over it. The player who is on top in a collision will steal snow from the player underneath.
The grow zones will appear randomly in the map. You will gain snow while staying in these
zones but be aware, there are also shrinking zones! While staying in these zones you will lose
snow and become smaller.
Grow zone – entering it
makes you grow and
because your mass is
increasing the speed is
decreasing making your
snowball slower.
Figure1-snow zone Figure2 – ice bucket zone
Shrinking zone – instead
of making you slower and
bigger this zone will
decrease your size and
therefore making you go
faster.
Figure3 – fire zone Figure – champagne rain zone

Another feature are various aids, called power-ups, that are released randomly on the maps.
These can either give you the help you need or be used against you. There are four different
kinds of power-ups:
Figure5 – Slower/Faster, Shield, No jump, Inverted (from left to right)
Faster/Slower: there is a 50% chance that your movement speed will either increase or
decrease.
Shield: adds a protection to your ball. If someone jumps on you, they won’t be able to steal any
snow from you. However, you can still jump on other players and steal their snow.
No Jump: randomly selects one of the players that won’t be able to jump for a while.
Invert: everyone except you will have inverted controls when moving around the map.
