Software IMP-PILD® “Petrophysical Inversion of Log Data”version 1.0 is a computational tool for petrophysicalevaluation of carbonate formations using a joint inversion ofconventional well logs.

The advantages of IMP-PILD® over traditional commercialsoftware are:

• focus in evaluation of carbonate formations withcomplex pore microstructure,

• evaluation of the vug and microfractureporosities,

• prediction of connectivity for the secondary-poresystems,

• determination of the initial and residual oilsaturations for different pore systems.

Technology application has a high impact in the

petrophysical evaluation at the borehole scale

and characterization of oil fields in carbonate

formations with double (triple) porosity

systems. The use of conventional logs allows

application of this technology in the recent

drilling and old boreholes.

Adequate petrophysical characterization of

the old oil fields helps to increase the

recuperation factor up to 5% and in new

fields it can reduce the production costs by

using appropriate information about

formation microstructure with double (triple)

porosity systems.

Product portfolio:

• Sale of the software with o without technical assistance.

• Service contracts: data processing and interpretation of the

well logs for carbonate formation characterization.

• Development of the petrophysical models and software for

specific complex formations.

The technology was applied in the oil fields May, Sinan, Ku-

Maloob-Zaap, Abkatun, Homol, Ayatsil-Tkel, Utsil, Baksha-Pit,

and Pohp-Tson for static characterization of the reservoirs,

elaboration of reservoir geological and petrophysical models,

reservoir characterization for improved recuperation,

determination of residual oil saturation, evaluation of fracture

systems, development of the fracturing models, and

permeability distribution.

Determination of residual oil

saturation.

Development of the reservoir model with

permeability prediction.

In the case of lack of the acoustic

well log with S-wave, the process

of the S-wave log reconstruction

was developed. The

reconstruction permits the

micromechanical parameters

(elastic modulus, Poisson and

Young coefficients) to be

obtained.

For problematic boreholes exists

possibility of logs correction.

The technology provides a wide

range of well log application for

the carbonate formation

characterization.

Correction of the low quality neutron log.

S-wave log reconstruction.
