I learned what to do and how to do it via a person that is ‘hands on’

…I went from a worried first timer thinking this is probably beyond

me to a confident adventurer

I can’t express how invaluable this experience has been to me, life

changing! All of my toxic products have now been thrown out…

and my house has never looked so good, smelled so good…

Enjoy knitting and good to know someone’s feet will be

a bit warmer this winter- an excellent City of Sydney

initiative (Liz, Gundaroo)

My great grandfather...fought with the 5th Australian light trench mortar

battery. I made these socks in honour and in memory of my great

granpop and hope fervently that someone made him socks and sent them

to him while he was fighting in the trenches. (Caele, North Carolina)

Love knitting socks and knowing they are going to

somebody who needs them (Donna, Eschol Park)

To participate in the recognition of WW1 community

support on the homefront. Nostalgia. And to rekindle

a love for this craft that will also benefit a person in

need. (Karin, Hazelbrook)
