The Social Networking Icons font family has been designed to simplify the process of routinely loading and pasting social icons around for both print and on the web – reducing server load and saving time. They are great for embedding in webpages or for use on products, posters, flyers and other marketing materials.

There have been a few changes to the locations of existing icons, so if you cant find them, please refer to the icon map.
There are two new utility glyphs that allow you to apply a solid backing to icons, you can find out how to use these on the supplimentary character-map.html webpage provided.
Spacing to the left and right of the icons has been removed to allow for more practical and manageable positioning on layouts, for spacing, you can now use space characters (standard spacebar spaces).

Social Networking Icons started off as a small project aiming to package icons into font so that they could be easily typed out in different places. Version 1.0 was released in 2011 as one of the first social icon fonts, with very few icons and with only one style, it was only available for a few months — but in that time it recieved over 150,000 downloads.
The first commercial release saw the font expand into three styles with a full latin encoded set of icons.
The latest version (v4 2016) removed a lot of obsolete networks that have either closed down or fallen out of popular use since the last release, many new or increasingly popular networks were introduced in their place, and all icons were re-tweaked.
Documentation was also improved; we've introduced a handy new cheat sheet which saves a lot of time finding and using the right icons required for your project by allowing you to simply paste them in.
As always we will try to keep each version as current as possible when it comes to updating, adding and removing icons. We are also exploring the possibility of building in a quicker way of typing out each character you require by allowing you to type a keyword in (for example, typing F-A-C-E-B-O-O-K would result in the Facebook icon). It would be offered as a seperate font or as an addition—if you are interested in this feature, please let us know as we will be more likely to persue it further.
