I think this is the Lady Chapel, which was destroyed in WW2, of Manchester Cathedral.

The building to the right of the picture will be the Corn Exchange. We are looking, in this photo, up Fennel Street, towards Withy Grove.

I remember seeing a solitary stonemason rebuilding this Chapel, with his tripod block lift, over a period of time.
