In what ways does social media affect people and/or organizations who do not participate in them?

• People who do not use social networks or social media are a t a huge dis advantage in their everyday life verses someone who does.

• For example a celebrity, company, or business that doesn’t use social media loses out in ganging fans and followers.

People

• For an everyday person who does not partake in social networking they lose out on all sorts of things such as news updates, free prizes, discounts, and promotional codes that social networks have to offer. They also can lose contact with people who do have social networks and they are trying to connect with them but they cannot find them.

People

• Celebrities who don’t use social media lose out on gaining fans and growing their personal brand. Personally as a fan I love seeing a celebrity who is active on there social medias for example Instagram celebs who post all the time and connect with their followers is really cool. A celeb who doesn’t have that social network loses out on free marketing for their personal brand, growing there public, image, and gaining fans.

Companies

• If a local store opens up in a town they could easily make a Facebook page and gain some followers and customers people will see there page on Facebook click on it check it out like the page and then they will go check out the store. If a store doesn’t do that they lose out on valuable free marketing and advertising they could be doing and getting through a social network.

Conclusion

• Not having a social network in this day and age is not vey smart people should have them so they can stay up to date with things around them and people they know. Social networking is a extremely beneficial tool in the new century and it is only going to get better
