use A Long Way Gone or Jane Eyre, you will need to bring your own copies of these to class on Monday and Tuesday.

Writing an effective literary analysis

- Make sure you have a clearly stated thesis:1. Include the “word” you have been given2. Include the pieces of literature you will discuss3. Give a brief introduction of how it is important
