Snowberry combats the six enemies of radiant skin:
Free Radicals: Unstable organic molecules that attack healthy skin and are responsible for tissue damage and aging. Inflammation: The skin’s reaction to illness and foreign pathogens and is a major cause of visible aging. Glycation: Caused by the linking of sugar molecules with dermal proteins resulting in a decrease of skin elasticity and a tendency to wrinkle. Proteinases: Naturally occurring enzymes that can interfere with collagen and elastin in the cellular matrix resulting in a loss of firmness. Dehydration: When the skin’s barrier function is compromised and moisture escapes, skin becomes dehydrated leaving it to become scaly and taut with superficial lines and premature aging. Discoloration: Irregular melanin production largely through exposure to the sun can cause skin discoloration and spots.

Passionate about luxury skincare but frustrated at being unable to find skincare that she felt she could trust, Soraya Hendesi was inspired to begin the demanding but exciting process of creating her own authentic range. Her Persian background and family gardens full of highly aromatic flowers such as jasmine, hyacinth, rose, orange and cherry blossoms, was an important influence on her love of beauty. Educated in the UK and Spain, after travelling and working around the world, Soraya came to New Zealand in 1993 with her husband. Here she set about finding people with the cosmeceutical expertise to help her turn her mission into reality, and after several years formulation and testing, Snowberry was born.
