PLEDGE 2019 UPDATE: To date we have received 116 pledges for a total commitment of $284,211. Thank you for supporting our work together. If you have not yet sent in your pledge for 2019, please fill out a pledge card and send it in. CHRISTMAS SERVICES: See SnapShots on rear of bulletin and the sign in MCP’s front yard. CANTATAS AT MCP: On the Sunday of December 23rd (Advent 4), the choir and instruments will perform two Buxtehude Cantatas during the regular 10 am service: In Dulci Jubilo [Good Christian Men Rejoice] (BuxWV 52) and Ihr Lieben Christen, Freut Euch Nun [Dear Christians, Rejoice] (BuxWV 51). This will be sung in English! The choir will be accompanied by strings for these works, as we approach the culmination of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. PARISH ANNUAL MEETING: Mark your calendars for our annual meeting on Sunday, February 10th after the 10 am service. We will be electing four new vestry members. If you are interested in serving on the vestry, a job description can be found on the bulletin board. If you are chairing a committee, please begin to think about your report to our annual report. CHRISTMAS POINSETTIAS: If you wish to donate a poinsettia in thanksgiving or memorial for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day services please use the insert in the bulletin. Form is due back to the office by Tuesday, December 18. CHRISTMAS COOKIE EXTRAVAGANZA: Coffee Hour on December 23rd will feature our annual Christmas Cookie Extravaganza. Please bring a dozen (or more) of your favorite Christmas cookies to share, and sample the treats provided by your fellow parishioners. CHRISTMAS GIVING TREE: The West Shore (Lemoyne) New Hope Center is in desperate need of volunteers to help with the Christmas Blessing Express. Our Giving Tree collection is part of this program. MEN’S BREAKFAST: The Men’s Breakfast Group will meet January 5, 2019 at the Cornerstone Coffeehouse, 2133 Market Street, Camp Hill, PA. Gather at 7:45, start at 8:00 and end at 9:00. This month’s study of “Human Wickedness and The Fall” will be led by Aaron Pridmore. All men of Mt Calvary and their guests are encouraged to attend. WAY OF LOVE: Advent study on Thursdays following the 10 a.m. Healing Service and Sundays at 9 a.m. (between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. services). Our next book will be “Final Words From the Cross” by Adam Hamilton. We will examine the final statements Jesus spoke from the cross and their impact.
