a l l f i rst-year MBA students study the pol it ica l
climate, economic trends and business conditions
in Asia, Europe, India or Latin America.
At the end of the f irst year of study, students
then depart for an immersion experience in the
region of their choice, gaining direct knowledge
of the opportunit ies and challenges facing
businesses around the world.
Our MBA program is designed to transform
your understanding of business and the global
economy and equip you with the skil ls and
relationships you need to succeed. We invite you
to join the Cox family.

The American Airlines Global Leadership
Program (A AGLP) gives a l l ful l-t ime MBA
students f irsthand knowledge of the global
marketplace through an unparalleled immersion
experience. The AAGLP is mandatory for all
students and is critical to the MBA curriculum.
Preparing for the Trip: In the f irst semester, you
select a geographic region to study: Asia, Europe,
India or Latin America. Working with other
students and faculty advisors, you begin studying
the history, political climate, economy, culture
and business etiquette of the countries within
your region. Pre-trip activities include visits to
DFW-area companies who do business in specif ic
regions and a preparatory course to introduce you
to the language and culture of your region. Students
complete individual assignments and work with
their teammates to compile a brief ing book with
key information about the regional business
environment and specif ic companies to be visited.
Traveling to the Region of Your Choice: At the
end of the second semester, before summer
internships, your group embarks on an intense
immersion in your selected region to:
· Meet with executives of companies you
have researched.
· Discuss political policies with government officials.
· visit important historical and cultural sites.
· Learn about doing business in that region.
Sharing the Experience with Colleagues: At the
conclusion of the trip, you and your peers return
to Cox to host the AAGLP Symposium, where
student groups give extensive presentations
focused on the unique business challenges and
opportunities in each of the countries they
visited. The AAGLP Symposium is open to the
public and is typically attended by international
execut ives, members of the Dallas business
community and Cox students, faculty and staff.
AAGLP SponsorsThe AAGLP is a unique experience for all first-year Cox MBA students who are able to leverage the knowledge and insights gained through the program to benefit their careers and future employers. Transportation, lodging and many meals are provided to all students at no cost, thanks in part to the generosity of American Airlines and additional sponsors.
Cox’s International Exchange ProgramsThese programs allow you to study abroad for a semester at one of the world’s most prestigious business schools in Asia, Europe or Latin America.
