The human faces were made to smile. There are smiles that express happiness, enjoyment, amusement, pleasure and so on. Smiling has become so important that a smile study was done to find out how people could smile better. This can help them see the funnier side of things. In a study carried out people were asked to hold a pencil horizontally between their teeth to create some sort of a “smile”. Then they were asked to watch cartoons. They rated the cartoons as funnier than the people who had watched the same cartoon but did not hold a pencil in between their teeth. This shows that smiling can affect your mood. We can actually find out whether a person’s smile is genuine or made up. There are wrinkles that form around the eyes when a person smiles sincerely. But if it is a fake smile, this sign is not visible. Write a summary about the characteristics of smiling.
