CBTalents wants to provide solutions for the 13% shortage of high skilled individuals globally. In September 2015, the European “SME instrument” invested 50,000 euros into CBTalents via the Horizon 2020 programme, in order to work for solving the skills shortage challenge on the volatile labour markets. The global shortage of skilled workers will amount to 85 million by 2020. In May 2016 a private investor - Mr Ben Noteboom - valuated CBT at 1,000,000and invested accordingly becoming – not only a shareholder - an extremely valuable business adviser due to his unique experience in the recruitment and staffing market. CBTalents Academy seeks to establish the link between the knowledge acquired and the labour market. It offers a solution for the global skills shortage, and helps its students understand IT trends and improve their career prospects. The mission of the company is to find, train and employ about half a million ICT professionals until 2020. "For CBT the grant from the European Commission was very important as it greatly opened doors to attract new clients and engage cross border talents to be trained in ICT tailor made courses financed by our customer´s that at the end of the training employ them in their operations across Europe creating employment, retaining investment and improving digital literacy in the old continent´s society. It has also been a valuable experience to get to know the funding Instruments promoted by EASME and we are very grateful to be able to share this information with other SME´s in events like LTW helping them to accelerate their success.
