Daisuke Tachihara started up Culturade after spending years at a global news agency Reuters (currently Thomson Reuters Markets), responsible for media business development and marketing. He took the lead in a number of joint business deals between media enterprises in and out of Japan, as well as formed strategic partnerships between diverse industries such as manufacturing and IT. His former careers include Dentsu group advertising agency and magazine publishing house. Daisuke holds a BA in Business Administration from Meiji University.

Sayaka Nagai also worked for Reuters (currently Thomson Reuters Markets) before starting up Culturade with Daisuke Tachihara. She was responsible for managing projects for online media business as well as financial information products. Sayaka has abundant experience in global project management, serving clients and stakeholders worldwide. She was also a start-up member of a US/UK/Japan joint venture company, who launched a financial portal site for investors in the local market in 2001. Sayaka holds a BA in Sociology from Sophia University.
