Then the Titan heat pump is the right unit for you as it enables you to reduce operating costs while protecting our climate and natural resources. The high-per-formance large scale heat pumps of the Titan series combine advanced technology with un-rivalled energy efficiency. Our tried and tested series products and custom-engineered energy centres (Titan Z) come with numerous options and accessories and thus cater for a wide range of applications. The payback period of a Smart-Heat Titan is normally between 3 and 8 years.

Energy efficiency for large scale projects

Titan large scale heat pumps are not only sui-table for geothermal groundwater heating sys-tems, but also provide an efficient solution for installations exploiting other renewable ener-gy sources such as sunlight (solar collectors and heat collector fences), waste water, industrial process water, exhaust air and waste heat. Titan heat pumps therefore enable you and your cus-tomers to tap into the most effective heat sour-ce available on site.

> Large scale heat pumps » TitanThe Titan large scale heat pumps are available as serial products in two versions: as brine/water heat pumps (up to 270 kW) and as water/water heat pumps (up to 380 kW). The heat pumps of these two versions are compact units equipped with an elegant sound-insulated housing. Efficient scroll com-pressors in tandem design guarantee excel-lent operating values at many critical process points. Units from 190 kW are equipped with modern, step-controlled screw compressors that allow for maximum efficiency even under partial load.

> Custom-engineered units For higher outputs, heat pumps (including cas-cade models) must be custom-designed based on the project specifications in order to ensure energy-efficient as well as cost-effective ope-ration. Our tailor-made Titan large scale heat pumps allow for optimised efficiency at rated outputs of up to 2,500 kW. The ratings and pro-perties of the built-in components can thereby be specified by the operator.

> Energy centre in compact design » Titan ZThe Titan Z energy centre combines advanced technology with outstanding efficiency.By customising the heat pump technology to suit the actual projects and by integrating energy-optimised hydraulic components such as circulating pumps and heat exchanger for separate systems, we are in a position to im-plement heat pump units of unrivalled effici-ency. As the operating expenses of these cen-tres are minimised, they pay for themselves within a very short time. We preassemble hy-draulic components to reduce the installation work on site and to avoid potential interface problems. This approach further enhances the operational safety of our units.

Inverter-based heat pump technology – uni-versal systems that can be optimised to suit any project. We design and produce units that best suit your needs.

The new Titan BWi/WWi covers the entire out-put range from around 8 to 65 kW – with a sin-gle heat pump operated with a modulating in-verter. The inverter allows for continuous speed adjustment, based on the actual heating or cooling requirements, making the heat pump one of the most energy-efficient and durable units in the market with unrivalled annual COP figures. Two separate circuits with compres-sors make our systems not only highly reliable but also enable operators to adjust the perfor-mance to the actual heat demand. All compo-nents of the cooling circuits are electronically controlled. With the Titan BWi and WWi, opera-tors thus gain a technological advantage.

Featuring a compact design and low-noise op-eration, the Titan i provides flow temperatures of up to 60 °C and comes with a cooling option in reverse mode.Planners and architects benefit from planning

safety, as the system can be scaled to suit the project – from multi-generation homes, small business premises, and office blocks to child-care centres, warehouses and similar buildings. When it comes to the Titan i, there are virtu-ally no limits.

> More control thanks to optimised regulationThe Titan units come with a weather-based multi-function control system and many ad-vanced technical features (smic system) as standard. It can be equipped with an optional bus card for the exchange of data with a cen-tral building management system. The op-tional web card allows for remote monitor-ing through user-friendly software by the unit operator, the service contractor or an external customer service provider.

> Enhanced economy by using optimum heat sourcesApart from the system’s efficiency, the cost-effectiveness of a heat pump is mainly deter-mined by the initial investment. A critical cost factor is thereby the installation required to tap into the geothermal heat source. By us-ing alternative heat sources or combining two or more energy sources, it is possible to sig-nificantly lower the capital expenditure for a heat pump system. In many cases, costs can be greatly reduced and COP values can be in-creased by using heat contained in process or waste water, solar energy or energy from hy-brid systems combining solar panels and geo-thermal probes! Titan Z large scale heat pumps are optimised for the use of many different al-ternative energy sources.
