Smart sensorIt is a device that detects or measures a physical property.
Sensors are custom programmed to produce alerts when critical limits are reached and responds to that.
Introduction
Objective : To see if sensor can detect motion of human and
objects
Conclusions: The detector infrared
Activity 1: Evading Motion Detection
Results
Object Motion detectionNormal / High Human Speed Detected
Slow Human Speed UndetectedFixed Object Undetected
Moving Object Undetected
Objective : Getting to know some sensors, for example the
music card
Conclusion : Smart sensors are all around us.
Activity 2: Taking a tour of some sensors

The team recording results
Objective : To find the difference in sound intensity when using
flexible or rigid materials
Conclusion : Flexible more sensitive than rigid.
Activity 3: Making Microphone
Results

Objective : Using atoms and bonds to form monomers and
then polymers
Results:As shown in the figure below : F H F H | | | | C ــــ C ــــ C ــــ C | | | | F H F H Conclusion : Monomers can be formed by linking atoms with
bonds, then polymers can be formed by linking the resulted monomers .
Activity 4: Exploring the Piezo Effect :Inside story
Objective :To measure output voltages by connecting labpro
device to PVDF
Conclusion : The larger the ball, the higher the voltage

The problem is:
How do we make water consumers reduce water consumption ?
Design Project
OUR SOLUTION IS …
Using smart sensors
Save the waterIntroduction
We are going to make an alarm sensor which works to alert the consumer when he uses a lot of water by messaging him using apps in smart phones.
This sensor will be placed in the consumers’ house near the water storage.
Will the project save the water? Can sensors detect the water level? Is the SMS enough to take action regarding
the over used water?
Save the WaterHypothesis
We have three sensors :-◦Sensor A at 50% from the bottom of the
tank ◦Sensor B at 75% from the bottom of the
tank ◦Sensor C at 100% from the bottom of the
tank The connecter device that connect
between sensor and consumer
Save the waterMaterials
Save the Water Working Methodology
The sensor will send three warning messages to the consumers:
First warning message will be green colored if he uses 50% of the free water. Second warning message will be yellow colored if he use 75% of the free water. Third warning massage will be red colored if he use 100% of the free water.
You used 50% of the free water
You used 75% of the free water
You used all the free water and any water you will use it now it will be
charged in you
Save the Water Working Methodology cont’d
Recommendation We will arrange this sensor with Kahramaa
or companies which can convince the consumers to put the sensors.
