    DESCRIPTION

0 ~ 1.25 kPa to 0 ~ 25 MPa (0 ~ 5 inH20 to 0 ~ 3600 psi) ±0.1% accuracy of the calibrated range Accepts calibration from URL to URL/40 Wetted parts in 316 SST or Hastelloy Digital display (optional) Zero, span and damping adjustment through HART® local switches(only if fitted with display)

Digital electronics, sensor and communication Self diagnostics Weather proof, explosion proof and intrinsically safe

The series LD29X is the economical alternative in rou-tine gage pressure measurement. This lightweight de-sign eliminates the need for mounting brackets andtransmitter supports in many applications.

The model LD291 offers digital HART® based commu-nication simplifying calibration and providing remotediagnostics.

Its microprocessor-based electronics allow for total in-terchangeability with SMAR capacitive sensors. It au-tomatically corrects sensor characteristic changescaused by temperature fluctuations.

All members of the LD29X series use SMAR’s fieldproven capacitive sensors. Also, an optional LCD indi-cator can be added to provide additional operationsand local indication.

    TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS

    Functional Specifications

    ServiceLiquid, gas or vapor application

OutputTwo wire, 4-20 mA with HART® superimposed digital commu-nication signal.

    Power Supply12 - 45 Vdc

Load LimitationMax. Impedance (VPOWER SUPPLY - 12 Vdc)/0.02Min. 250 required for communication

IndicatorOptional 4½-digit numerical and 5-character alphanumericalLCD indicator.

Hazardous Area CertificationsExplosion proof, weather proof and intrinsically safe(CENELEC and FM standards).

Zero and Span AdjustmentBy Local Adjustment from 0 to 0.975 URL, URL = UpperRange Limit.

    Temperature LimitsAmbient: -40 to 85 °C (-40 to 185 °F).Process: -40 to 100 °C (-40 to 212 °F) (Silicone Oil).

    0 to 85 °C (-32 to 185 °F) (Fluorolube Oil).Storage: -40 to 100 °C (-40 to 212 °F).Display: -10 to 60 °C (14 to 140 °F) operation.

    -40 to 85 °C (-40 to 185 °F) without damage.

Failure AlarmIn case of sensor or circuit failure, the self diagnostics drivesthe output to 3.9 or 21.0 mA and according to user’s choice.

Turn-on TimePerforms within specifications in less than 10 seconds afterpower is applied to the transmitter.

    Overpressure Limits14 MPa (2000 psi) for ranges 2, 3, 431 MPa (4500 psi) for range 5

These overpressures will not damage the transmitter, but anew calibration may be necessary.

    Humidity Limits0 to 100% RH.

Damping AdjustmentBy Hand-Held Terminator Local adjustment: 0 ~ 32 secondsplus intrinsic sensor response time (0.2s).

ConfigurationBy Digital Communication HART® or partially by local adjust-ment.
