1. INTRODUCTIONThese are instructions for author typesetting for Smart Journal.This document is a template for Microsoft Word version 6.0 orlater. If you would prefer to use LATEX, use the LATEX file forformatting, but please follow the instruction in Smart Journalinstructions.
1.1 Instructions for AuthorsSmart Journal hope to give these conference by-product a single,high-quality appearance. To do this, we ask that authors followsome simple guidelines. In essence, we ask you to make yourpaper look exactly like this document.
2. FORMATTING INSTRUCTIONSAll material on each page should fit within a rectangle of 18 x23.5 cm (7" x 9.25"), centered on the page, beginning 2.54 cm(1") from the top of the page and ending with 2.54 cm (1") fromthe bottom. The right and left margins should be 1.9 cm (.75”).The text should be in two 8.45 cm (3.33") columns with a .83 cm(.33") gutter.
3. TYPESETTING3.1 Main TextUse a 9-point Times Roman font for text. Do not use bold in themain text. If you want to emphasize specific parts of the maintext, use italics. If Times Roman is not available, try the fontnamed Computer Modern Roman. On a Macintosh, use the fontnamed Times. Right margins should be justified, not ragged. Thegoal is to have a 9-point text, as you see here.
3.2 TitleCenter the title (horizontally) on the page. The title (Helvetica18-point bold), authors' names (Helvetica 12-point) andaffiliations (Helvetica 10-point) run across the full width of thepage – one column wide. We also recommend e-mail address(Helvetica 12-point). If only one address is needed, center alladdress text. For two addresses, use two centered tabs, and soon.
3.3 Subsequent PagesFor pages other than the first page, start at the top of the page,and continue in double-column format. The two columns on thelast page should be as close to equal length as possible. Theminimum number of pages for your paper is 5, the maximumnumber of pages accepted is 8.
3.4 Table and FigureAll tables must be embedded in your document. All illustrationsshould be embedded scans of original drawings or photographicprints of originals. All figures must be embedded in yourdocument. It may extend across both columns to a maximumwidth of 17.78 cm (7”). Captions should be Times New Roman9-point bold. They should be numbered (e.g., “Table 1” or“Figure 2”), please note that the word for Table and Figure arespelled out. Figure’s captions should be centered beneath theimage or picture, and Table captions should be centered abovethe table body.

3.5 Page Numbering, Headers and FootersDo not include headers, footers or page numbers in yoursubmission. These will be added when the publications areassembled.
3.6 ReferencesReferences to the literature should be mentioned in the main textby Arabic number in square brackets, like [1], [2]. The referencesare also in 9 pt., but that section (see Section 5) is ragged right.
4. SECTIONSThe heading of a section should be in Times New Roman 12-point bold in all-capitals flush left with an additional 6-points ofwhite space above the section head. Sections and subsequentsub- sections should be numbered and flush left. For a sectionhead and a subsection head together (such as Section 3 andsubsection 3.1), use no additional space above the subsectionhead.
4.1 SubsectionsThe heading of subsections should be in Times New Roman 12-point bold with only the initial letters capitalized. (Note: Forsubsections and subsubsections, a word like the or a is notcapitalized unless it is the first word of the header.)
