Today’s IT Landscape

The changing business landscape requires flexibility to quickly move your software assets to where they are needed.

IT assets are being managed by non-IT departments, resulting in a greater need to empower the business units and stakeholders across your company to assign and track software usage and entitlements.

Fast paced business environments demand that you accurately track and manage your software return on investment and compliance in real time.

There is no existing single source of truth that shows your Cisco software asset ownership.

The rapidly evolving business landscape makes it challenging to quickly respond to real-time IT needs.

Business Challenges

Increasingly complex and distributed business environments require easy to use solutions that deliver more valuable business outcomes.

Software assets are becoming embedded into “non IT” lines of business, making it more difficult to centrally manage utilization and cost.

Shrinking budgets demand more accurate accounting of usage and cost optimization across a business.

Business Impact

Too much time spent tracking what you own, who has access and what needs to be renewed.

Inability to fully utilize assets without centralized visibility into unused licenses or potential compliance issues.

Missed opportunities to capitalize on potential business prospects or mitigate risks due to the inability to respond quickly to IT needs.

Inability to deliver customized solutions for your company’s diverse business units due to a rigid “one-size-fits-all” approach for software assets.

What If You Could…?

Have real-time visibility into your Cisco software assets so you can easily track them and manage access?

Quickly move your Cisco software assets based on your evolving business needs?

Have the necessary business intelligence to see the software you’re not using or if it’s out of compliance?

Streamline and organize your Cisco software assets in a way that works for your company’s unique structure?

Direct cloud access through an HTTP proxy Cisco Products send usage information over the internet via a Proxy Server. Any off-the-shelf Proxy will work.

Mediated access through an on-premises collector - connectedCisco Products send usage information to a local Mediator such as the Smart Call Home Transport Gateway (Free VM Download), which automatically completes the transaction with the backend.

Mediated access through an on-premises collector - disconnectedCisco Products send usage information to a local disconnected collector, which acts as a local license authority. Once a month, an exchange of human readable information will be performed to keep the databases in sync.
