I need a shed to film in as I need a

dark wood paneled background for

three of my shots. I have decided to

film in my shed as it is an easy

location to get to and use. The wood is

quite light coloured, however, I will film

in the early morning or early evening

when there is less sunlight pouring

through the windows. I could also

block the sunlight using dark paper, for

example and let only a little light in and

adjust how much I let in, depending on

how good it makes the shot look.

We have a steel spiral staircase

that we can use for filming at

my aunt’s house. This is located

in Brixton, London so is not too

far to get to making it easy to

get the shots we need quickly.

It is old fashioned in its style

and is a dark grey colour which

makes it perfect for my trailer.

We need to film in a kitchen where the

living space is very close/can be seen

from the kitchen. Ideally it would be a

home with an ‘open plan’ layout as we

need a shot from the mother’s

perspective (in the kitchen) looking at

her daughter (in the living room).

I have decided again to film at my

aunt’s house (where the spiral

staircase is located) this will mean that

we will not have to travel to as many

locations and will already have our

actors there. It is also a perfect

location for my trailer as there is a

living area in the kitchen (open plan

layout).

Again, for ease of filming and so

that I do not have to travel to

multiple locations I have decided

to use my road and house for the

opening shots of my trailer.

With my story set in South East

London (where Alice usually

lives) it makes it ideal for my

trailer with the Victorian houses

on my road stereotypical of many

London areas.

This location is in Forest Hill.
