This month sees SMA VehicleRemarketing opening our sixthAuction Centre in Birmingham, andas you can imagine, we are all veryexcited about this latest step in ourongoing expansion.The new Birmingham Centre is located just minutes from M6J10, and has been purpose designed around the needs of ourbuyers and vendors. Comfortable, spacious and secure, theCentre also offers our newest Technical Services Centre tosupport de-fleet and vehicle preparation in its own fullyequipped facility. We look forward to welcoming newcustomers to the centre, who we hope will benefit fromSMA’s highly respected customer service.
Our goal at Birmingham, as at all ourCentres, is to make it easy andpleasurable to buy and sell.

The opening of Birminghamrepresents the latest in a series ofnew initiatives that we havelaunched this year. To the forefront of our activities has been a series of on-line innovations to ensure that our buyers can accessstock 24/7. Access to stock through View It Now with its 3600 overviewof a selection of vehicles, voiced over by one of ourtechnicians and Buy It Now, both with their built inguarantees have proved to be very popular. Buyers can getthe stock they want ‘on demand’, and UK wide deliveryensures that such stock can be on the forecourt and ready tosell-fast. SMA’s growth continues with ournew, state of the art Birminghamcentre which opened on the 20th April 2011.Located just ten minutes from M6 Junction 10, theall-new Birmingham Centre has been developed toservice the needs of today’s buyers and vendors.Naturally, it is easy to access with plenty of secure parking and storage,but there is a great deal more. Here are some of the highlights:
SMA Technical ServicesDealers want to reduce the ‘time to forecourt’. Cars caught up in thepreparation cycle cost money and reduce margins. SMA TechnicalServices has been established to prepare cars at a known price ready forsale. Cars can be prepared on behalf of vendors pre-sale, or for buyerspost-sale. SMA Technical Services offers a de-fleet service to remedydamage and ensure that the car can be on the forecourt fast, ready tosell. A fully trained team has bodyshop and preparation facilities allunder cover, ready to speed up the whole process, just what dealers tellus they want.
Leading Edge FacilitiesA business lounge, meeting facilities, Wi-Fi, great catering and a warmand comfortable twin lane auction hall are all ready to ensure thatbuyers and sellers can work hard to source or dispose of stock and stayin touch with ‘base’ remaining fully productive whilst on-site.
A Skilled and Enthusiastic TeamGreat facilities are fine, but at the end of the day it is service that reallycounts. SMA Vehicle Remarketing prides itself on its people. In theweeks running up to launch extensive training has been undertaken andwhilst this includes the fundamentals of a high calibre remarketingcentre, a particular emphasis has been placed upon service.
