Slite T5 is a miniature lighting system for close proximity lighting and accent lighting of displays etc. and for task lighting. It's small depth at 27mm and integrated glare shield allow for unobtrusive powerful, low heat lighting that can fit into any situation. The Slite T5 is available in a range of watt-ages from 14W to 35W.

By effective lighting of displays Slite T5 draws attention to the display and increases its attractiveness.In a retail situation this can make this difference as to whether a product is sold or not.

Many situations occur where obstructions prevent general lighting from being effective, such as under shelves and inside cabinets. Lighting which is part of the structure provides the correct angle of lighting and the close proximity provides an effective and highly efficient system.

Task lighting using close proximity lighting is effective in at least two ways. It allows precise and effective glare free lighting and it allows the option of a lower light level throughout the rest of the space, either for energy saving or to maintain the correct ambience (In a hotel reception counter for example where general lighting can be low, however the work can be performed efficiently).

The Fabulous NEW Slite T5 is here. The absolute ultimate solution for under shelf, under cabinet, showcase and work station illumination.

In our ever changing fast paced work environments whether they be in retail, hospitality or commercial, the need for high quality ‘close proximity’ illumination has never been greater.

With the introduction of T5 Fluorescent lamp technology we now have the luxury of replacing earlier larger aging technology in the fluorescent market, coupled to significant additional benefits to help us all.

The T5 lamp boasting a diameter of just 16mm and is available in lengths approaching 1500mm which produces enormous levels of high performance illumination. This fluorescent lamp technology offers amazing colour rendering properties of 85 CRI and has lamp efficacy of up to 104 lm/ w.*

The application of this new exciting fluorescent technology with stylised and curvaceous design from Intralux have united the best of lamp technology and luminaire product development to offer this fabulous range of new products.

Slite T5 offers not only the designer but ultimately the end user an economical high performance and stylised solution with their ‘close proximity’ illumination requirements.

A retail space obviously requires the high quality illumination of the merchandise to ensure that the passing consumer is attracted to that merchandise to instigate a sale.

Equally important is a work station environment where high quality illumination is critical. A high rise building for example, where

high levels of quality light on the work surface with low levels of glare are essential in this modern,

computer screen age we work in.

The front desk in a prestigious hotel lobby is another example where high quality

illumination is needed to ensure that the hotel staff can operate effectively on the work plane without the need for glary light on themselves and / or their customers checking in. Slite T5 provides the ultimate solution for all of these applications and more.

An integrated diffuser is another design feature which provides for easy cleaning and potential application in food preparation environments. By having the lamp concealed this provides an excellent level of protection in areas that might otherwise be vulnerable to people.

The installation of the new Slite T5 system is very fast and therefore extremely cost effective. Location via 2 quick fix screws and / or suitable double sided engineering tape or adhesive**. The product is supplied in standard configuration with 2 metres of cabling between the fixture and the remote ballast which can obviously be concealed if necessary.

Surface illumination is vital. Light is important to all of us. The application of Slite T5 will ensure that high levels of quality illumination are placed on the surfaces that are important to us whether they be in retail, hospitality, or one of many other potential applications.

Available in a range of modular lamp sizes from 600mm through to 1500mm, the Slite T5 system caters for all shelving, under cabinet, work station and display environments.

The combination of high technology, micro processor controlled electronic ballasts coupled to the T5 fluorescent lamp technology insure 20,000 hours* of trouble free, flicker free operation without need for messy lamp starters and additional heat.

The Slite T5 produces an ultra smooth 125˚ light distribution which is of course biased towards the rear of the illumination plane while controlled spill allows effective illumination of stepped surfaces placed vertically in front of the fixtures.

Check the direction the cable is to run and route it into the appropriate groove. Slite T5 is designed to be positioned at the front edge of a shelf to give maximum illumination to the shelf below.

Unclip the lens by flexing it together. Do not use objects such as screwdriver, knife or pliers. Remove lamp (if applicable) by rotating 90˚ in either direction.

Screw luminaire into place with screws provided. Alternatively a suitable adhesive tape can be used. Please contact your local supplier for a recommendation. Insert lamp and rotate 90˚. Note: if luminaire is used vertically ensure branding on lamp is at the bottom. Clip lens into place.

Connect the T5 Slite to the ECG electronic contol gear. Use a screwdriver to remove terminal block covers from the ballast. Note: Ensure ballast is not connected to the mains.

Open terminal block clamp by inserting a small screwdriver into the top slot. Connect the four core connecting cable to the ECG. (see table below). Connect the mains cable to the ECG or appropriate plugset to the mains input side of the ECG. Note: earth required for EMC compliance.

Route cables through appropriate cable clamp details and replace covers. Check cables are secured tightly.

Screw onto shelf. Switch on luminaire. New lamps will take several minutes to reach full brightness.

Warning: Ensure ballast is disconnected from mains before replacing lamp.
